Flashback Friday....

While looking through my pictures for a classic Flashback Friday for Milk-Way
I found this one of the Diva in a totally un-Diva like place the dryer...
We've had our new washer and dryer for several years.  This was taken in our old dryer.  I expect the picture is 5 or 6 years old...not quite as old as some of MW but definitely a CLASSIC!!!
Go ahead everyone tease her big time!!
MOM
Mom and I have a very personal note to share here....our dear feline friend Kareltje and his Mom, Anya, shared very sad news with us yesterday.  Anya's husband had a very serious heart attack on June 2. He is in critical condition.  Anya and her family need all of our prayers and thougthts during this very difficult time. God Bless you Anya and your daughters and give you strength.

  4. Hi Madi and Mom, we were so shocked and saddened to hear the news on Kareltje's blog.
Sometimes life is unfair. We were worried as we hadn't heard from Anya which was unusual.
Don't worry we are praying over here in Scotland and we reckon with all of us bloggers all around the world praying that is a mighty power force.
On a lighter note......well perhaps not! Our mum's friend did climb into the tumble dryer when the door had been opened half way though for some clothes to be removed. We guess kitty could not resist the warm sheets........however the door was then closed!
Fortunately our mum's friend went to check the noise coming from the dryer and poor kitty had to be rushed to the vet. She did survive but lost the tips of her ears!!!!!
So the moral of the story is - dryers may look cosy but they are very dangerous.
Having said all that you do look very cute.
Apologies if we told you that story before but your pic reminded us.
    love

  6. Hi Madi & Mom,

It was quite a shock to hear about Anya's husband. I had just been thinking about sending her an email to check in. With so many prayers from around the world things just have to be okay.

You found a great hiding place Madi until someone opened the door. I have a photo of Tasha inside our old drier and she took up a lot more of the space than Madi does. I'll have to post that photo sometime.

  7. Our kitties are kind of older and don't go near the dryer, but the Moms always double check for felines before starting it, just out of habit from when they had kittens. That doesn't sound right..the Moms never gave birth to any kittens, but what I mean is over the years there have been kittens here. Anyway, they do get into things.

I hope your friend makes a full recovery. Will keep paws crossed.

Madi to the rescue: Thanks for the pregnant cat feedback. I'm pretty safe thanks to mom. Mom's the one getting nailed BOL Six weeks or so, you said. Ugh. The truth is, she's calmed down quite a bit. Maybe the pregnancy hormones are going up and down and up and up... :)
