"OUR' Chair

Last Saturday morning we were having a leisurely breakfast
and reading the newspaper.
Madi was being very loving, lots of head bumps,
nose taps to my hand and purrs.  As it turns out,
she was COVETING 'our' chair.
I left for just a few minutes. When I returned,
this is what I found.......(I'm looking down on her)
She had taken over 'our' chair.....and she looked
So cute I left her there.
Yes the alpha female of the house is Madi!!!!
For the last few weeks this has been Madi's favorite spot to nap.  Her Dad says she stays there most days.  In fact, last Wednesday's silent movie was made from this chair.

  1. I was gonna say maybe she likes the way your butt smells... But there's really not a good way to say that.

    So I won't. :)

  3. Oh JackDaddy, you have such a way with words! MOL!

Cats have a way of getting their own way and then giving us the cute pose so we won't disturb them, even if it means giving up our chairs. Cindy does that with my desk chair sometimes.

    Hugs and lots of purrs,

  7. No chair or other piece of furniture belongs to a human. We all know everything in the house is OURS! Don't give up your chair for anything, Madi. :-P

  8. Madi? You and Tahoe are two Purrs in a Pod!! At night, I like to stretch out on the floor and either read or watch TV...and I have this HUGE oversized pillow for my head. No matter where Tahoe is, she always knows when it's time I flop the pillow on the floor and comes running in...only to curl up by my head and snooze. And she's HUGE so sometimes it's either ME or HER...and most times she wins!!!

  14. Nothing in the house really belongs to the humans and Madi is just making sure that you realize that. Sigh, so relaxed. Don't you wish humans could nap like that?

  15. Madi, how thoughtful of you to let your mum sit in YOUR chair for a while. Don't let her do it too often though or she may start thinking it is her chair.

  26. Hi, Madi!
"Our" chair that becomes "My" chair, right?
I am going to show your post to my grandpa! He thinks I am the only one in the world who "steals" his chair when he leaves it for a minute!
