BALANCING ACT

I'M CLOSE TO THE EDGE WITH SOME FURS
HANGING OVER.....

I'M SITTING NEARLY ON TOP OF MOM
AND CAREFULLY WATCHING AS SHE
EATS SOME FINE SMELLING PORK ROAST
NOTE ALL MY SENSES ARE ON ALERT
AND FYI I DIDN'T GET EVEN A TASTE...BECAUSE
IT WAS SEASONED WITH GARLIC AND HERBS.
MOM SAID SHE DIDN'T WANT TO SHARE GARLIC WASN'T GOOD FOR KITTIES.

UPDATE on house fire:  The entire roof is gone and part of the 2nd floor.  I expect there is significant water damge to the 1st floor.
We we told the family was not home. I hope their dog, Cody  was not home either.  I don't know them except in passing.  They are very friendly young family and Cody is a gentle giant.  They probably won't live there for sometime but I hope I'll get a glimpse of Cody and see that he is ok too.

  1. Oh my... I hope Cody is okay... poor doggie. But maybe he did as Madi and went to find protection. Dogs are smart about that too. Whenever my Harry heard a bee (or a fly) he'd run into the furthest corner of the house! Really funny seeing a German shepherd hastily depart a room at the sound of a fly!
But that poor couple to have that happen to their house. So glad they weren't in it.
    Blessings to you Madi!

  3. Purring for Cody and hope that there is news soon.
Madi the Mom's are always saying that human food is bad for cats and preventing us from even tasting some of it.

  4. Sorry to hear about the damage to the house. We hope Cody is okay, maybe he was with them.

That's a really great balancing act Madi, don't lose your balance. Miss Cindi says she hears that line all the time, 'human food is bad for you'. She wants to know why is it bad for cats but not for humans? MOL!

PS, I know what you mean about serving on the Grand Jury. After that duty it should be a long time before anyone has to serve again.

  5. Looks like you've claimed a prime piece of real estate on that table, Madi. If you're gonna get a treat, that looks like the spot.

    pawhugs to you... Max

  6. Oh Madi, my cats get mad, too, when I won't let them have any of my meat, because it has garlic and other herbs that aren't good for cats on it. When I make chicken, I usually leave one piece unseasoned for them, but, that's hard with other meats.

I hope that Cody is OK.

  7. Oh Madi...tell Mom to loosen up and to make some people food you CAN eat! I just couldn't resist your balancing act...I'd have to give you something.

  8. Madi, too bad you couldn't have any of that yummy pork roast! Maybe next time it won't have garlic (or onion) and you'll be able to have a bit.

We're sending purrs to the family, including Cody.

  10. After nearly a week's absence and a sad losing of our grandsons' father, we are now trying to catch up and say hi to all bloggin' buddies!!!

Is Cody a neighbor of yours dear Madi? That's a shame....it's all such a tender life we have so many times. Hope the insurance will cover all the damages.

As for you...you 'porker'...you don't need garlic. Makes for a FOWL breath. Notice the spelling of fowl? That was a play on words....oh, dang...get me outta here, I'm a bit goofy.

  18. Madi...you're a Cat on the Edge! Your Mom is a horrible meany. She should have given you the most succulent bits of pork from the INSIDE of the roast, unsullied by garlic. And that's what we think.

  19. You are on the edge!!

  21. Whoa! Lookit that! You sure do have a super great sense of balance, Madi. Have you ever thought of joining the circus?

And, gosh I'm sorry you didn't get any of that pork roast. I think your mom's excuse was mighty suspicious if you ask me.
