The Cube revisited....

If you missed The first Cube click here,
At first I found it to be quite an unsatisfactory 9th gotcha gift....
NOW FOR THE REST OF THE STORY

I was recently seen, Dad bellowed for Mom to come with the
flashy beast, taking a second glance at it
Actually, once again I was tricked...
Mom threw fresh nip in it earlier, and a gal cannot resist fresh nip
And as you can see in this last picture I did not jump out of it as in the first post, nor did I give the the same look of unsatisfaction....
I actually took a nap in it and  awoke with a nip hangover...notice the nippy look in my eyes. MOL

Thursday Theme Song........

Mom and I thank Hootin' Anni for sponsoring.....

Today's song is by one of Mom's favorite songs
Sunshine on My Shoulders, vocals and words by another favorite
Mr. John Denver,
starring Mom's favorite feline, Moi.

Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy
sunshine in my eyes can make me  cry  squint
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high sleepy
If I had a day that I could give you
I'd give you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I'd sing a song to make you feel this way
If I had a tale that I could tell you
I'd tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I'd make a wish for sunshine all the while.....

Sunshine all over makes me happy......
We hope you enjoy the video below of this very lovely and timeless song.  Thanks for stopping by today Madi and Mom

Whacky Wednesday photos

Mom took this of me sitting behind her on the recliner.
She wasn't even looking in the view finder...way to go Mom.
This shot was taken as I was jumping down
Background:  I was hungry, Mom was sitting down on the job.
I had to take matters into my own paws. A gal has got to do what it takes to get service.
Happy June,
Madi

BLUE SNAKE

MOM BE VERY STILL, DO NOT SPEAK AND WHATEVER YOU DO PLESE DON'T SCREAM.  THERE IS A BLUE SNAKE CRAWLING UP THE COUCH.

NEVER FEAR I'M HERE TO SAVE THE DAY. I'LL TEAR IT INTO LITTLE PIECES AS SOON AS I SLAP IT SILLY WITH MY PAWS
IF THAT DOESN'T WORK I'LL PUT A BITEY FACE ON IT
AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK I'LL SIT HERE UNTIL I
FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT TO DO OR AT LEAST
WHERE IT IS COMING FROM....
AHHHHHHH I SEE IT IS COMING OUT OF YOUR
SUPER DUPER MADI PROOF YARN JAR.
ANOTHER EXCITING ADVENTURE IN THE LIFE OF A DIVA!

STEEPLE SUNDADY #32: APEX FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH

Happy Steeple Sunday....these lovely flowers are from us
to you!!

Apex Baptist Church began in the early 1870's when residents of what was then called Log Pond met in members homes each week. In 1873, Log Pond was incorporated as Apex and the small congregation of 28 people built their first church on South Salem Street.  As the congregation grew, the need to expand resulted in a new church building which was constructed on the present site in 1912.  I expect in 1912 the corner it sits on was a sleepy country road.  However, today it is a bustling intersection  on a major artery through the city.  These pictures were taken while waiting at the stoplight of that intersection.  I'm not sure what the little compartment is on the right.  There are floodlights there and what appeared to be some plantings.
They expanded again in 1951 and 1961 to add more Sunday School rooms.
In 1987 the sanctuary pictured below was completed to replace the aging 1912 sanctuary and in 2000 their new educational facility, family life center and fellowship were completed behind the sanctuary.
The Town of Apex is expected to triple in size during the next decade.
They are certainly keeping up with the times.  They have a blog and are on FaceBook.

Mom and Dad are taking a road trip today.....but she promises to
check in with my friends when the return mid afternoon.
psssst the Par-tay starts at 9:31 am.  Don't forget the secret password and BYOFF,(bring your own Fancy Feast).
Madi, the Hostess with the mostest.
