AND AS YOU CAN SEE FROM MY BRUSH
MOM DOES A THOROUGH JOB OF IT TOO.
MY NEW WOOFIE FRIEND, DOUGLAS THE SCOTTIE,
HAD A POST ON JANUARY 10TH, ALL ABOUT HIS KITTEHS SIBLINGS GETTING A BATH ONCE A MONTH.
I SECRETLY TOLD HIM IN ALL MY ALMOST 10 YEARS

  3. If you mention cat and bath in the same sentence our mom gets a funny look on her face. We have heard that years ago she tried to give one of her kitties a bath. It seems, and this is just hearsay since mom never talks about the incident, that a kitty claw almost got an artery in mom's neck. Mama brushes us a lot but no baths. She says if we ever really need a bath we will go to the groomer.

  8. I love your activity enrichment center from your last post Madi!! That's the cats meow! Well, you kitties keep pretty clean on your own, right? Who needs a bath! You always look gorgeous!

  9. Gorgeous Mads, Sammy is 14 and Andy is 11 and the only bath either of them has ever had is ones they give each other with their tongues. Shelly and Sierra are much younger and have never had a bath since they came to live here, either.

    We love you, sweetie.

  10. You are SO lucky, Maddie! BATHS are super, duper awful and terrible. Bleh! Sometimes I wish I was a kitteh so I didn't have to have a bath EVER. My mom has never given her kittehs baths, either. (Although she did have to wipe down Cap'n Ripley's butt a few times...heehee! You shoulda HEARD some of the pirate words he said to her.)

  11. My kitties hate baths.

I think I may have some scars to prove it.

  12. Madi, I'm very glad my post didn't give your Mommy any funny ideas! I should say, though, my Peeps don't have to deal with getting scratched when my kittie siblings get baths. They were both declawed before my Mommy found and adopted them!

    Rooooo!

  17. We don't get baths either. We are quite capable of doing it for ourselves. All that brushing has given you nice shiny furs.

  19. We don't get baths very often. Usually right when we are almost done with a big blowing of our coats. Mom does brush us a lot,not every day, but several times a week. We can tell you get brushed everyday because your furs are always so pretty.

  21. Madi, I've only had a bath once in my life, and it wasn't even a full bath. I just had to have my back feets washed real good. It was when I got out in the garage and got oil on my feet. Oh my mom was so mad at me for that!!

  26. Somebody bathes their cats once a month???? I've NEVER bathed Lucy. Granted she's mostly an indoor kitty, but still - it never occurred to me that cats need to be bathed. They usually clean themselves, don't they? What do you think Madi? Do you bathe yourself?
