I THINK I'LL KEEP MOM....

AFTER CLOSE INSPECTION
 IT IS MY CONCLUSION
MOM IS DOING A GOOD JOB OF
KEEPING MY KITCHEN IN ORDER AND CLEAN
RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED,
MADI

Mom is a pretty good egg so I told her she could share the following pictures of HER fine feathered friends with you.
She is all giddy about these visitors...
They are Cedar Waxwings.
Mom thinks their facial markings make them look like bandits
They winter in our area but Mom rarely sees them.  Yesterday
there were dozens and dozens of them in our backyard and at our birdbath.  They normally migrate to our mountains in early March
Mom says the mild winter must have them confused.
Note the red tips (thus wax wing) on their wings and their yellow tipped tail

  1. Luv those waxwings. We don't haf them here. It's probably a good idea to keep the good egg (mom). It would be way too much trubble to train a new one! Your furriend always, Prancer Pie.

  4. Well Madi, we know that your Mom could not do it without your expert snoopervison.

We would be excited too to see those little birds in our backyard, we can understand why your mom is so giddy with delight. That little touch of red and yellow really makes them stand out, they are cute.

  17. We are glad your mom is working well - we know sometimes we animals get fed up with our humans but it is better than having to do all the mundane tasks ourselves! Hard with no thumbs anyway.
We loved those birdies - sorry they are confused! How come you don't chase them away?

  22. We think you should definitely keep your mom Madi. We like the fevver pictures. We have seen some waxwings in the fields in the last week. They rarely come to us, only when the weather is very cold. Ours have crests on their heads. We think they come from Scandinavia.

  29. Dear Madi,You are obviously a "white paw" inspector, which means you see EVERYTHING. So if you say Mom is doing a good job, then you must be right. Don't tell Mom I said this, but you're way prettier than those birds!

  30. That's a good idea to keep Mom.

p.s. Madi, she has the password to your blog, so you might need her!
