Look at those adorable Boxer faces

Madi,

We're so honored to be members of your Mayoral Cabinet, and we're so happy to answer questions for you so Blogville can learn all about us. Hopefully we'll make some new furiends!

1. Please introduce yourself(selves), tell us your age and a very special trait.
Casey: Hello, my name is Casey Houdini, and I am five and three-quarters years old. (I turn 6 in July!) My special trait is that I am an escape artist, hence my middle name! I can get out of ANY crate, and I can even turn a doorknob!
Cinderella: Hi deres, all my friends! I am Cinderella Isabella, and I am a spry 11(ish) years old. Hmm, what's special about me? Well, I LOVES belly rubs. As soon as you come near me, I'll sprawl over on my back so you can reach my tummy better!

2. If you had and alter ego, who would you like to be and why
I would be a therapy dog! I just loves the idea of going to schools and hospitals and nursing homes and stuff to make everyone there feel better. I'm so proud of my furiends who do that.
I likes just being me!

3. What do you like best/least about where you live
The best is easy -- it's Texas! Everything's bigger and better here. (Hello, you saw the massively giant cheeseburger I gave Pip when he visited, right??)
The worst is definitely the summer heat, yuck!! No one wants to be outside, even me, and Iloves the sun. But it gets so hot we can't even breathe very well!

4. Who are some peeps/furiends you'd like to meet and why
Dave and Zim!! They're so handsome and smart and handsome and sweet and handsome and--
Enough already, Cinderella!! Sheesh. But yeah, we'd both love to meet Dave and Zim from the Army of Four. They're pretty cool dudes, even if they do flirt with my sissy.

5. If you could give one piece of random advice what would it be?
"Life is short. Never pass up a chance to play. (Or pee.)"
"Happily ever afters are real, so never stop looking for yours!"

6. What do you do for fun
Chase rabbits, unless Momma is watching. Then my favorite thing to do is snuggle with her.
Get my belly rubbed!

7. What is the first thing you do each morning
I stretch while Momma is refilling the water bowl in the bathroom, then go have a nice drink.
I stay in bed until Momma has changed out of her PJs and put on her walking shoes. Then the three of us all go for a nice morning walk. No better way to get ready for a new day!

8. What is the first thing you notice about a new furiend
Do they want to play?? As soon as I meet someone new, I play-bow and see how they respond!
Well, I'm a little more cautious about new furiends than Casey. I like to get a good long sniff, then watch them play with Casey for a little bit before joining in.

9. Tell us how you came to live in your family and how you got your name.
This is my favorite story!! I was rescued by Legacy Boxer Rescue and spent months healing up from a bad case of mange. Then Momma was looking for a cat-friendly boxer and agreed to meet me, even though I wasn't exactly what she was looking for. But then she realized I was exactly who she needed! She said she knew I was her dog when she held up her camera and I immediately sat and smiled for the picture. BOL! As for my name, Momma just kept having "He looks like a Casey" pop up in her mind, so that's who I am!
When Legacy Boxer Rescue saved me, I had lost most of my furs because of a bad allergic reaction, and I was pretty lumpy and miserable. My first foster momma named me Cinderella because she said I just needed a fairy godmother to get me ready for the ball! Then she couldn't keep fostering me and Momma took me instead. She was good and found a family for me, but my wicked stepfather didn't like me so I came home to her. That time she knew she couldn't let me go, so I've stayed here ever since!

10. What is your absolute favorite food
Peanut butter!!!!
I loves cheese. I get spray cheese on my pills every morning and evening, and it's the BEST. Plus sometimes for a special treat, Momma takes Casey and me for cheeseburgers!

Bonus question:
Casey and Cinderella you both were rescued by your Mom. So we know you are both very special...but tell us what you think is most special about your mom and oh tell every one about your siblings.
Oooh, this is a hard one! Um... what's special about my momma is that she is NEVER too tired to walk us every morning and every night, even when she's really tired or has been sick, and even if it's cold or hot or raining or snowing. She's very dedicated.
We have two kitty siblings, Scribbles and Pigeon. Scribbles is a 14-year-old gray and black stripey kitty. Momma has had him since he was 2, waaaay back when they lived in a high-rise in Chicago and she couldn't have any dogs. He's pretty grumpy and bosses us around. Pigeon is a sweet 10-year-old marmalade girl. She was really skeered of me when I first came to live with them, and it took her two whole years to be brave enough to come down around me! But now she likes me and sometimes we both snuggle with Momma together.

Thanks fur having us, Mayor Madi! We're so honored to serve Blogville on your cabinet.

  16. Hello to one of my favorite duos!! I hope you're doing well. I've tried to catch up on what has been happening around Mayoralville the past week or so, and I must send along my condolences for the passing of your family member. So, so sad, but now [through my eyes at least] he no longer suffers and is in the lovin' arms of his maker!! And a belated Happy birthday to the man who helps keep our mayor and mom in good standing and in high spirits!!

Bless you all. And you will be in my thoughts and prayers as this time lingers. Memories are always the happy, good times. May he rest in peace.

  18. Thanks for having us, Madi! Cinderella and I are very honored to be part of your mayoral cabinet! We even put up a special post today in honor of our new position!

As for spray cheese, it's real and FABULOUS!! The main brand name is "EZ Cheez", and you can usually find it in the store near the crackers and stuff. We have cheese time every morning and evening so Cinderella can take her pills. All four of us come running in so we can get our cheese, even the kittehs!
