Meet My Cabinet: Chef Sasha

Today we are featuring Chef Sasha
Chief Chef in Residence

1. Please introduce yourself(selves), tell us your age and a very special trait

Hi I am Sasha, I was rescued from a shelter so we don't know my age for sure. I think I am 7 years old. I live with my Mom and Dad and sometimes big Sister and her Boyfriend. I love my family very much. I am a very good cook.

2.If you had an alter ego, who would you like to be and why?

Although I appear to you as a small shih tzu, I am actually a very big wolf and I use the wolf self to protect my family when they need it. According to me they need it several times of day every day, especially if anyone comes near to them outside or has the nerve to knock on our door.  I was put here to protect them and I will do it!

3. What do you like best/least about where you live?
I like where we live just fine, I have a very nice backyard. There is a lovely park near by that I get to visit often in the nice weather. I guess I could do without the cold, I have kind of sensitive footers and I cry when they get too cold.

4.Who are some peeps/furiends you would like to meet and why?

If I could meet any of my pals, it would be so hard to choose. I love them all and for different reasons. My first choice would have to be my oldest pal Tweedles. We have been pals for a long time and I would love to meet her and her family and explore the woods near her house and just play. You know that feeling when you crawl into your bed at night and the house is quiet and you are so snuggly and happy and content? That is how I feel about visiting Tweedles. It would be perfect. Next I would be off to visit Puddles and see what kind of mischief we could get into and then visit more and more and more of my sweet pals.

5. If you could give one piece of random advice, what would it be?
Don't poop where you sleep. Its never a good idea.

6. What do you do for fun?
I love to hide things in my Mommys slippers. You should see how mad she gets (snickers). It is really fun to wake your whole family up at five in the morning by howling, even on Saturday and Sunday and then crawl in next to them and go back to sleep. I also love keep away with my toys, you know where you bring it to them and when they reach you pull back and run away. I love having fun

7. What is the first think you do each morning?
I take a big old stretch, you know, every inch of you stretching and then shake it off. I go look for a drink and then I head for the door so I can go out and take care of business.

8. What is the first thing you notice about a new furiend?
I notice their odor, it says a lot about what kind of pal you are.

9. Tell us how you came to live in your home and how you got your name.
I was rescued from a shelter after I was abandoned there by my former family. I cried and cried and went into two different foster homes and then one day, my Mom and Dad came and got me and I have been happy and loved ever since. I was already named Sasha and they discussed it with me. We all felt it was too much for me to have a new home and a new name so Sasha it stayed.

10. What is your absolute favorite food?
Wallymelon, I don't care what part of the house I am in, if Mommy is cutting wallymelon, I come a running. I will actually run and bump her until she gives me some. I have to have it.

BONUS Question:  You are an extraordinary cook! We'd like to know if you have a deep dark secret ingredient you use to make every recipe special, also what do you consider a purrfect menu?

My secret ingredient is a secret so of course I can't divulge that. I am sorry but that is how it must be. We girls need some secrets after all. My perfect menu would be a nice filet mignon cooked medium rare on a grill, served with potatoes au gratin and a large slice of wallymelon. Dessert would be homemade ice cream and all would be served with a nice cold beer and then fresh water with dessert.
