Shine On

I would like to thank my GUY Raz and his sisters
Allie and Ellie for this award

Here are the rules:

1. Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and link back.
3. Share 7 random facts about yourself.

Here are  7 random facts about Madi and Mom:

1. Madi:  Raz was the first mancat to ever officially asked me on a date...he even took me to space and back.
Below is our latest Memory Collage as of 7/17/14

2. Mom:  When she was a wee kitten, she ate an entire stick of real butter. Nowadays her she doesn't eat
real butter but she does love Brummel and Brown margarine made with yogurt!!!

3. Madi:  Is the only member of the family who was not born in Raleigh....she was born in Cary, NC

4: Mom:  In 1973 Mom stuck a tiny crochet hook (used for making doilies) in her thumb when she was trying to put a hole in the sandal strap of a little girl visiting my human sis.  Mom had to hold the sandal with her free hand so that it would not dangle and make the hook move...it was attached to the crochet hook in Mom's thumb.  Sis had just turned 3 but she knew her numbers....Mom told her Dad's work phone number...Sis called Dad and said "hey Daddy Mommy is hurt".  Then Sis hung up!!! MOL MOL Sis was supposed to put the phone to Mom's ear. Dad was about 30 minutes away so he called our neighbor  2 doors away to go to our house.  Our neighbor took mom, the floppy sandal, my sis and the visitor to the ER!!!  They had to cut the hook out of Mom's thumb. Crazy ER doctor asked mom if she wanted the hook...Heck no Mom said!!  When she got home, she threw all the doily hooks away.

5: Madi: One Friday last Spring when mom was sorting through clothes to take to North Raleigh Mission...I wanted to help so I followed mom in and out of the closets....but she didn't know.  When Mom finished, she and Dad went out to supper....not knowing I was in the closet.   When she got home she finally missed me...could not find me in my usual places. So she started bellowing as she walked around the house.  She kept hearing a knock, knock...it was me jumping against the closet door. Now I announce myself when I'm 'helping'!!

6: Mom: Is proud to be my assistant

7: Madi: When Mom and Dad went to Alaska in 2005 I gained nearly 2 lbs in 11 days.  Mom said my sitter must have been heavy handed filling up my kibble bowl.  Thankfully Mom watched my diet  like a hawk until my next Vet appt...and I was able to get back to my ideal weight...which is 10.75 lbs.

Thanks Raz, Allie and Ellie for this shiny award...

  6. Congratulations on your award, Madi! Mommy cringed at #4. It reminded her of when she stroked (whatever was she thinking?) the cactus her Mom had. That particular cactus had nasty little hooks on them and got embedded in her fingers. Suffice to say she never mistook another cactus for a furry animal.
