We have a guest photographer today....Madi's Dad!!!

I beleive he must have taken this while he was riding the

bike and look there is Madi spinning too.

Madi: Study, Shadows and sun

This picture was taken in the same room as yesterday's glowing picture.
Several of you offered suggestions as to the problem. The popular answer was the flash.
Many of my pictures have been taken
in this very room without any glow except for yesterday.
As for Madi, she stands firm it was all about her Diva aura finally showing.

Madi: Mom what did you do??!!

Mom doesn't have a clue what she did/didn't do when she took this picture.

I'm sitting on the floor in the study. The walls in here are a brick red,

the carpet is beige. What in the world caused this she asked?
I told her it was just my natural Diva aura!!

Lassiter Mill Dam, Raleigh, NC

picture on the bank. What a wonderful surprise it was to see him.

I had my video set hoping he'd fly off. All he did was move his head from side to side.

Below is a still picture of Lassiter Mill Dam.

Before the fine new houses were built, here historic Lassiter Grist Mill

was located in this area. It was a working mill for corn and flour.

Below is a video of the Lassiter Mill Dam it feeds into Crabtree Creek.

The Dam still sounds very powerful and as far as I know this is the only 'waterfall' in Raleigh.
Yes this area is in a flood zone...which is why all the houses are built on stilts.

Madi Sleeps...the rest of the story

Madi is a creature of habit. Every night after supper she always sleeps in one of the dining room

chairs. Well she did until I decided they needed to be replace about 3 weeks ago. She liked it in the chairs because it was dark but she was still near us.

It seems the Diva does NOT LIKE THE new cushions. I don't know if it is the smell or the fact

that they are not broken in. She was forced to find a new place to snooze before bedtime. I don't know why she decided on the love seat. The tv is on, lights are on and there is lots of traffic. As you will see from these pictures, she has found a way to cope with the light and noise.
I was sitting beside her. The flashy box was no where near. I knew if I move she would too. Thankfully her Dad came in the room, gave me the flashy box and the clicking began.
I had several pictures of each pose.

at one point she got up turned around and struck the same pose again...

to keep the light out of her eyes

I think she is peeping at me from under her paw in this one.

She covers her eyes a lot but this was the first time I was able to capture it.

I'm prejudice but isn't this the most precious pose?
Madi makes us smile every day.

Madi: Mom got new shoes I got a new box

Yep Mom got (more) new shoes. She only has 2 feet I don't know why she needed more.

Dad is probably glad I don't wear shoes...can you imagine how much that would cost?

The Diva Island Princess Cat would have to get a J O B!

Mom mentioned that this new box, aka my Condo, was larger than my old Condo.

She said she would probably be able to cut two windows in it for me. Yippee

Mom took a short video (below) of me playing in my new Condo. You can see my old Condo in this video. WE STRONGLY suggest you watch it all (1:57). There is a surprise ending!!!
