Madi's view

Lots of my pictures are taken in our family room on the corner of this rug.
I thought you'd all enjoy seeing why I'm always in that room. I have a great big
glass door, the sun comes to say hi, I like to watch the leaves blowing around my deck, the squirrels are aggravating but sometimes entertaining and every now and then a cute little bird
will come up to say hi. Also this room is very near the kitchen. I'm a firm believer is
staying near the food source.
Oh boy there have been boxes galore all over my floor today. Mom and Dad are exhausted.
I'm napping.
Our tree is UP and decorated. IT is rainy here today so outside decorations will take place tomorrow. Mom is still working on our nativity scene and other small things.
Pictures should be downloaded by tomorrow.
Happy Saturday night.

MADI: Friday's fine feather friends

(please click on the picutre to enlarge)

This is a Male Eastern Bluebird and absolutely Mom's favorite blue bird.

He came to visit on Thanksgiving Day. Mom just knew when she went out to get a picture he'd leave but he didn't and she was very HAPPY. She cannot take good bird pictures from inside.
Big reason she is looking for a new camera.

She keeps telling Dad she wants a dress with these same colors in it.

BTW Mom's other passion (besides ME is birds)!!!
(PS when you enlarge the picture you might notice beside our neighbor's a/c unit
he has a 'FAKE' OWL. WE Don't know why...he is a little strange).

Lots of decorating at the homestead this weekend. Mom is going to try to get lots of
pictures of me helping. I do this every year. Hopefully we'll get them posted by
Sunday,

Madi: The things I have to put up with....

I expect most of you can see this gold string around my neck. If not, please click on the picture to enlarge it especially if you want to see my pearly whites fangs.

I'm disgusted to say the least. What was mom thinking you ask?

Mom here what I was thinking Madi is that you were just sitting there doing nothing. You had been home alone all day so I thought you needed some excitement. You were an easy prey. I held the stretch string above your head, you turned your head up to see, I dropped it right over your head like a lasso. This is the only picture I could get of Madi. Her first attempt was to bite it off. She ran under the chair to see if she could rub it off, nope, then she gallops across the room shaking her head vigorously nope that didn't work. She finally stopped gave me a very stern meow. This all happened before I could even switch the flashy box from picture to video...maybe 10 seconds. Madi HATES having anything on her!!!

Madi: I'm looking for a new mom/dad. If you want to be my mom/dad,***
send your resume to 'neednewmom/dad.com'! The pay is excellent!!!
My current Mom calls me a diva but that is so not true!!!
Mom: I'm not worried about my Mom status .
***Thanks to Jack and TG for pointing out that we excluded the Dads
Madi would love to live with all men then she could be Queen Bee insead of
a Diva.....

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

Mom has always said Santa must be a North Carolina State University fan. He wears RED, WHITE and BLACK
Mom is letting me have today off away from the flashy box....

Mom loves poinsettias. She has heard that they are and are not safe to have around pets.

We don't have them in the house...she says better safe than sorry...

She does take lots of pictures of them

Mom's absolute favorite color in the world is RED. If cats came in RED I'd be RED!!!

Notice the little snow man in the middle of the red tree forest. Mom said he kept changing colors.

This shade of green on this stocking seems to be very popular this Christmas season.

We like it!!!

Thanks for letting us share some pretty Christmas things with you today,

Pictures taken at Logan's Trading Post a local Garden and Gift Shop.

Madi: Check your mail box I'm on my way....

After many months of begging and pleading, it looks as if Mom is about
to let me visit all my friends. She brought home
the perfect box to hold me and a mailing label.

Everyone look at this box carefully. When you see
it in your mail box, open it quickly. It will be me, Madi, coming for a short
visit. I would greatly appreciate a comfy bed, some food,
and some play time....

.....before you send me on to the next 'friend' on the address label.

Note from Mom: I'm sorry to disappoint everyone Madi
is not going anywhere. She did try to jump in before
it was taped up. Madi has B I G dreams of seeing
each and everyone of you.

Madi and I send kudos to all bloggers....

Hi Friends,
We received this award from our friends
Gizzy and his Mom. We met them about a year ago while browsing the Daily News Miner's website in Fairbanks, Alaska. Folks who are enchanted by the AWESOME (I only use this word when talking about Alaska) beauty of Alaska go there to chat. Gizzy's Mom is a very funny and creative lady. We feel honored to have been tagged by her.
Thanks G-man and Mom
As Mom ponder the rules of 'Kreativ Blog' ,she had a revelation,
If you blog then you are 'Kreativ'...

We send 1 Million kudos to all bloggers we know and don't know. It is a labor of love that we do each day for different reasons but whatever the reasons they are 'kreativ' !
Mom says she used to follow all the rules; however, since she has matured (aka gotten older) she has become wild and wreckless. We're changing some of the rules starting with #4 and 5.

1. Thank the person who nominated us (done)
2. Copy the blog to our blog (done)
3. Link to the person who nominated you (done)
4. Send us a few blogs that you visit each day that others might not know about
5. Below are two blogs that Mom and I visit daily. We don't think any of you know about them.

We met Raider's peeps through Daily New Miner site also.
Raider (Golden Retriever) and his peeps are full time RVers. They travel all over the US. Raider's mom and dad are excellent photographers. Please visit them to
see all of their pictures from this past summer at our great National Parks.

Tigger and Lizzy (cats) and Gabby (dog) live with mom, dad, 2 sisters and a wee one on the way in 2010. My mom met them when the dad was at NCSU getting his PhD in Physics. He now works at the U of AR. They are a busy family always on the go. The Mom is a former Kindergarten teacher who is now teaching her own children. She is an extraordinary mom, Brownie leader, photographer for her church, Stampin' Up demonstrator and Scrapbook expert.

6. Post links to their blogs (done)
7. List 7 things others might not know about yourself are:

1. I'm an only child (Mom)

2. I have been and still am totally and completely fascinated with Alaska. My hubby and I went to Alaska in 2005 for our 35th anniversary. I'm ready to go again. (Mom)
3. I wear contacts (Mom not Madi I have cat eyes)

4. I'm a fanatical, (don't call me after 8 on Sunday night unless you are bleeding profusely), fan of 'Amazing Race' (Mom)

5. I have a sister named Lucy who was adopted on the same day as I was by another family (Madi)

6. I am undoubtedly the most vocal cat Mom has ever met. She is convinced my meow is controlled by my eyes if they are open I'm meowing. (Madi)

7. I'm really Gray and white. My gray is very dark and many think it is black (Madi)

Thanks for stopping by, Madi and Mom
