The Versatile Blogger Award...Thanks Maggie Mae

We received this lovely award from Maggie Mae and her Mom. Maggie Mae is a very adorable
lady boxer who can jump like a kangaroo. Drop by to see her in all her beauty.
The rules to the Versatile Blogger Award are:
1.Thank the puppy or kitty who gave it to you!! Done
2. Share 7 things about myself here I go:
1. They almost named me Maggie Mae (I was listed as Kitty M so they were thinking about names beginning in M). My name is Madison.
2. I will eat or try almost any human food Mom is eating...I figure if it doesn't
make her sick it is A OK for me
3. I've never had my teeth cleaned. Every year my VET compliments me.
4. I am not nor was I ever a lap kitty
5. In 2005, Mom and Dad went to Alaska. I gained 2 lbs in 11 days. Needless to say
I did not let their absence get in the way of eating.
6. My paws have never touched the ground at least not after I was 2 months old. 7. Last but not least, I have never had a bath. Mom brushes me nearly every day and she says she wishes she could bottle my lovely scent.
3. Pass along the award to 15 bloggers...oh my cats and dogs there is not enough room to list all of our friends so we'll just say if you would like to play please copy and paste the award and rules to your blog. If you decide to participate the next rule is:
4. Once you have selected 15 bloggers, leave them a message on their blog telling them you gave them an award.
As for me, I'm sitting on top of the world (aka Dad's bike) with delight that Maggie Mae tagged me.

Respectfully submitted,
Madi(son)

Flashback Friday: Milky-Way on his tippy toes

Yes this is our dear sweet MW...he absolutely adored string and especially string attached to balloons. Second to string, was his love of sitting in laps. His first choice of a lap was his human sister...yep I was second choice. Having a kitty who love string, in one's lap, made it very hard to crochet. He weas the ultimate lap kitty.

The Look

No I'm not being punished....I'm trying to be invisible.
However, when you live with an obsessive/compulsive giant lady
invisible is not possible
she always has the flashy beast with her
and it usually ends up pointed at me.....
I've come to accept her odd behavior by giving her my nonchalant look.

We've been car shopping....

Morning Friends....now that I'm 8 (48 in cat years), I finally convinced
Mom and Dad it was time I had wheels befitting a Diva. Saturday they went car shopping. It was hot as HE (double hockey sticks), so I stayed home but Mom took the flashy beast.
I need help deciding.....

Since I'm a feline, I was thinking about a shiny black Jaguar with red wire wheels
but it appears this man beat me to it....
Next they showed me a picture of this very lovely car. The emblem on the front said
Tesla...I asked Dad for more info since it is pretty darn snazzy. He replied
'in your D R E A M S'. What does that mean I asked, then he said
ain't no way kiddo...ok that I understand so we moved to the next picture

This car it comes with food, we all know I'm the Paula Dean of the feline world
It also had a very interesting sign that reads,'Life is short drive an MG naked'
I was intrigued until Dad explained that 'naked' meant I've have to be shaved....too bad because it also came with lovely china.
I moved on to the next picture. Now this one shouts DIVA.
I'm calling the color creamy aqua with lush, soft mocha interior, this is it.
Then I saw this car.
I said SOLD, I have to have it...it comes fully equipped with
FRIENDS!!!!!

Then Mom burst my bubble...she told me no wheels for you Madi the insurance is too high.
They did so enjoy the annual British Car Show at North Hills Mall on May 15, 2010

Steeple Sunday: Edenton Street United Methodist

This church has been located in downtown Raleigh on the corner of Edenton and Dawson Streets since 1811. The current sanctuary is the fourth one for the church.
The third sanctuary was lost to a fire in 1956. The current sanctuary was completed in 1958.
The steeple is quite impressive...I took the picture in parts
Please excuse the over head power lines...but don't you just love the brick steeple tower.

Now here we are at the front door which in itself is beautiful

This lovely little courtyard sits at the side of the church...it is quite peaceful
The church is most known for its new Pipe organ which is a Letourneau Opus #112. It has 5,447 pipes and was designed and built by Orgues Letoumeau Limitee from Canada. I don't know much about organs, but I'm told this is the Rolls Royce of Organs. This project began 2005 and was delivered in November of 2007 in two 53' tractor-trailer trucks. 150 church members assembled on November 4, 2007 to unload the trucks which took 4 hours. Then the tedious task of assembling the organ began. On March 16, 2008, Palm Sunday, 1,200 church members and Mr. Letoumeau were in attendance for the dedication of the organ.
