Saturdays are hard.....

You might think I'm admiring Mom's pink toe nails BUT I am NOT...It is Saturday and the living ain't easy.  So I ran to hide from Mom and the flashy box.  

BTW Mom the joke is on you, everyone can see your ugly comfy shoes that you always say you hope no one ever sees, well now everyone has seen them. MOL!!!  

BTW Madi they are also seeing the worst angle of your butt, which by the way fills up the entire box...and in case you want to know...yes the box makes your butt look big!! LOL

Flashback Friday....

While looking through my pictures for a classic Flashback Friday for Milk-Way

I found this one of the Diva in a totally un-Diva like place the dryer...

We've had our new washer and dryer for several years.  This was taken in our old dryer.  I expect the picture is 5 or 6 years old...not quite as old as some of MW but definitely a CLASSIC!!!

Mom and I have a very personal note to share here....our dear feline friend Kareltje and his Mom, Anya, shared very sad news with us yesterday.  Anya's husband had a very serious heart attack on June 2. He is in critical condition.  Anya and her family need all of our prayers and thougthts during this very difficult time. God Bless you Anya and your daughters and give you strength.

Yep Mom pulled out the Whimsical Calendar again. I looked it over with my laser eyes and together we decided June has lots of fun things to share with you.

We are pleased to show you one of Mom's favorite flavors.

Lipton Raspberry tea perfectly brewed, with just the right amount of sugar, topped of with

a slice of lime and home grown mint.

According to Jack and TG they were in awe of this unique cat apparatus; thus, could not resist buying it. Jack and TG Mom said in all the 22 1/2 years she has been owned by a CAT she has never seen one either. Well done!

Jack diamonds may be a (human) Lady's best friend....However, a bag full of
Pink Loot filled with Catnip is this Diva's best friend.
FYI: Mom only took out 3 of the items in the bag for now...she said she didn't want me on
sensory overload.

Steeple Sunday:Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran

First of all I apologize for all the wires in the pictures. This church is located in an older part of Raleigh with mostly over head electrical cables....

Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran was the first Lutheran Church in Raleigh. Its beginnings are traced back to July 1911, with 12 charter members. In 1941 the original constitution of the church was amended permitting women to serve on the congregation council. The history of the church states this was a much needed but heavily debated changed.

I can tell from this picture Steeple pictures are prettier with clear blue skies. I actually debated about posting these pictures due to all the gray clouds. The day I took the pictures the sun was in and out of the clouds. I found the little object on the edge of the cross interesting but could not find out anything about it.

Today the church sits on property purchased from N C State University in 1953 on the corner of Brooks Avenue and Clark Street which is about 2 blocks for NCSU. Notice the church windows in the below picture. After many years of looking at the windows, I still don't know if they are a form of stained windows. Up close it looks like paint. They are from the original church.


The brick work on the church is also very pretty. I guess it could best be described is
a type of basket weave. Below is a close op of one of the windows and the brick work.
