Meeting Miss Mindy and her Peeps

IT IS THE ONE, THE ONLY MISS MINDY, MY BFFF, FROM

HOODS HAPPENINGS

And to steal a line from Mr. Stevie Wonder,

"Isn't she lovely, isn't she beautiful"

She and her peeps and my peeps finally got to meet each other
on Wednesday, August 15.

Miss Mindy travels in style with her very own car seat!!

 Mom and Ms. Gloria have been cyber buddies since 2008.

Miss Mindy and her peeps are on their way from Florida

with several stops in between, before reaching their final 

destination of New England for a wedding.

 Mom said there was not enough space on the post to tell you 

how much fun they had and how appreciative they were

that Mr. Ralph and Ms. Gloria took a significant detour off I95

to visit with us in Raleigh

 It looks like they are all old friends 

(well they are old, but that is another story.  MOL!!)

but this was the very first meeting.  They had 

a picnic lunch at Pullen Park.

Mom said she was glad they arrived before all

the 87 gazillion day campers arrived.

Look at Miss Mindy dancing a happy dance while Mom

took her picture.

Miss Mindy and I did not meet in person but let me just tell you

she sent me some of the best smell mail.

You might remember that she went to the spa last week and let me tell you that is one fine smelling young lady.  Her Mom

rubbed essence of Mindy all over this hanging toy.

 OMCs/OMDs  Miss Mindy lives in Florida so she

brought me my very own Flamingo.  It tried to fly south 

but I put my paw down and told it no way!!

 Miss Mindy also sent me some air mail via this feathery toy

You might remember that Mom tried UNSUCCESSFULLY

to crochet some socks earlier this year  Well she made one but never made the other one...and what good is one sock? 

Well guess what Ms. Gloria made mom this most 

beautiful pair of socks, that are a purrfect fit.  AND she gave Mom the pattern too.  Mom says she is going to give it one more try..especially now that she has a sample to go by.

I'm sorry that I did not get to meet Miss Mindy and her peeps but 

I thank them for visiting with Mom and Dad because I like for my peeps to have fun and let me just say 

THEY HAD FUN!!!

pose with my books.  Mom and I don't know the meaning of 

writing just a few words....no telling how many words are in all 4 books.

Since I was up, I agreed to a few more pictures

as long as she would give me a minute to stretch my front legs
