On July 22nd I posted about the new food
Mom switched me to due to a itty bitty
elevation in one of my kidney enzymes.
She was worried I would not like it.
HA..I never met a can of food I didn't like!
Click here it you missed it.

We have to buy the food from my vet...first mom
bought 3 cans (they are twice the size of Fancy Feast).
She was still worried I might decide I didn't like it.
Next she bought 6 cans...not very economical but still
she was being cautious.

WELL LAST WEEK SHE CAME ON WITH A
PALLET OF THE CANS. I QUESTIONED
HER SANITY...I MEAN REALLY SHE
MUST THINK I'M A HOG
I counted the rows
I counted the cans in each row

After I did the math, I said

Mom I can't believe I can eat 24 cans of food.
But I'm willing to try!! MOL

Show and Tell with Bacon

This time though, let’s highlight toy that you really loved as a child and absolutely could not live without – that you had hours and hours of entertainment playing with.  You don’t have to still have it but try to find a picture of it to post and talk about.

Madi's Mom Here:

Flashback to Christmas 1954... (photos developed 1/55)
First of all pardon the head dresses (more on that later*) my Mom and I were wearing.
That year I was torn between being a tomboy and a prissy missy.
I asked for cowboy or Indian suit,( shown in the chair you see the Indian suit and drum there was also an Indian headdress but I couldn't find the picture) a Betsy Wetsy doll not pictured. Betsy came with a bottle, you put water in it then feed her..then she wet her pants.

I also asked for a new watch and charm bracelet pictured below
Also pictured below is the fancy hair do you got when you
slept with your hair rolled in bobby pins and your head wrapped in the head thing.

SPECIAL EVENT AT Casa de Madi

Recently I was puddle napping when
TOGM (the old gray mare) told me
I had to GET up for a photo shot for a
special day.  If I had known what I
I now know, I might have given her the back of disrespect.
When it suits me I am an obedient cat.  So
I gave myself a most enjoyable frontal stretch
followed by a soothing tush extension.
Ok Mom I'm ready what is the special event?

OMCs mom started singing
Happy Happy Happy Birthday
to
HER
aka
THE FIRST FAMILY DIVA,
PICTURED BELOW....AND WOULD YOU LOOK AT HER ALL LOVEY DOVEY
WITH HER K9.
I bet you can probably figured out the year by the avocado green bean bag...but just in case
we'll tell you it was April 1976.
Sis was almost 5, Toto was almost 3.

My human sis and the infamous Toto,
the Mighty Mini Dachshund the first family pet.
Mom often says I have the Cat-i-tude of a Dachshund.
After hearing amazing Toto stories all my life,
I take that as a compliment.
He was one cool Dach.
*********************
The peeps visited my sis and bil last weekend

(which explains why I was MIA on 8/23 and 8/24)
to celebrate the big day.
A good time was had by all.
Thank goodness there were no K9s at the celebration.

Tuesday Tale: Grooming

This is where I sit each morning to help Dad with his
grooming.  Mom doesn't seem to understand it is
a Madi and Dad moment...I had to give her the LOOK
to get her to LEAVE
Once she leaves Dad and I get down to business
It is my responsibility to let him know if he misses a spot when he
shaves.  As you can see, I take this responsibility very
seriously.
I'm happy to report my efforts are rewarded with lots of sweet talking and belly rubs too.

MONDAY MEWS

Every so often Dad leaves the door to his train room open. Lads and Lassies I enjoy rambling around. I especially love this stack of boxes. They make a purrfect perch.  That is until the shutter bug finds me. As you can see, I'm giving her what for about interfering with my Dad time
SHE DOESN'T KNOW THE PASSWORD (CHOO-CHOO)
SO SHE CANNOT ENTER
I TAKE MY JOB SERIOUSLY TOO
