New Year's Eve Tales and leftovers

Kasi, our next door K9 Border Collie, asked her Peeps to give mom a thank you gift to tell her how much Kasi appreciates that Mom is willing to take her for walks when her peeps have to work 87 hours.

I might be obsessed with ribbon but BOXES are still my first obsession.

RE-ENACTMENT of a TRUE event from before Christmas.
Mom was on a cleaning spree.  She put two of my Yeow!!!! Cat nip filled sardines on top of my cube so the sucky monster could vacuum all of my furs from every surface in the house.
She was at the desk with the flashy beast when I walked up to my cube to inspect the relocation of my sardines. She snapped this picture BUT not even a flashy beast was quick enough to capture what happened next.....

To hear mom tell this story you would think it was the funniest thing she has ever seen.
So here is the re enactment.....as told by a crazed mom.
I looked a the relocation of my sardines for a moment...then I put my front paw on the
edge as if to knock them off.  My paw pushed it down like mom's finger; however,
I must have been surprised that the cube moved downward.
I quickly took my paw off....when I did that cube turned into a trampoline for my
sardines...they turned in to jumpin' catfish...they flew up in the air.
Mom says I was so startled I jumped backwards as
the sardines landed behind me grazing my tush which made me jump again.
This is a real photo of where they landed about 2' from my cube.
Mom began to LOL LOL LOL LOL so much that Dad bellowed
what is going on. Mom told Dad and then they both were
cackling like crazy people.

As for me...now that I know the cube is possessed with evilness, I'm keeping a good bit of distance between me and that crazy wild cube

Here it is the end of another wonderful year in blogville.  I would like to purrsonally thank
each and every pal in this lovely land for putting up with my nonsense,
for inviting me in to your lives via your blog, for including me on some of your antics but most of all

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIP, MAY YOU ALL CONTINUE TO BE INSPIRED
HAVE GOOD HEALTH AND A PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR AND LETS KEEP THE FUN RUNNING AT FULL SPEED. MOM IS EXCITED THAT SHE AND DAD WILL BE MEETING MANY OF YOU AND YOUR PEEPS AT THE
FYI for those she meets...you need to keep your eyes on her at all times she is tricky!!

B.A.R.

IN JUNE 2016 there will be more info on this coming in the next weeks.

Hugs and kitty kisses

Happy New Year's Eve, Eve and Monkey Bread

Monkey Bread recipe from Sunday's post

Ingredients:
4 cans (10 to a can) biscuits.  I used grocery store brand butter me not (flakes of butter in biscuits)
1 tablespoon of cinnamon*
2 teaspoons of ground cloves*
1 teaspoon of nutmeg*
3/4 cup brown sugar*
(optional: raisins and pecans  to taste but I've never added them)

Preheat oven to 325, bake for 45 minutes

Supplies needed:
You will need either a bundt pan (fluted sides) or a pound cake pan.
Large zip lock bag

Sauce ingredients
1 to 1 1/4 stick butter (1 is plenty)
1 cup brown sugar

Directions:
spray pan with PAM
Mix all of the spices*  then pour into a large zip lock bag.
Quarter biscuits, add to zip lock bag one can at a time, shake well, take them out and spread around pan evenly.  Repeat until all 4 cans are in the pan.

After all the biscuits are in the pan, prepare sauce as follows:

In a small sauce pan, cut up the stick of butter add brown sugar.  Simmer on low until melted. pour over biscuits  Bake at 325 for 45 minutes

HINTS:

Over the years I have learned I can prepare the biscuit and spice mix the night before.
Cover tightly with foil store in fridge.  The next day all you have to do is prepare the sauce.

GREAT FOR BREAKFAST.
Years ago we were told the name came from the fact that it is served by just pulling off pieces like a Monkey would do.  But it is too hot and too messy we serve with a large spoon.

Easy like Sunday on Christmas Morn

Christmas morning, 1993, a tradition began in the family.
It was the first Christmas morning my Sis brought her (then boyfriend, later to be my BIL) to spend
Christmas day with us!!
Mom tried her bestest to think of something quick and good for breakfast.
She decided to make monkey bread...it was a huge hit.  Mom didn't know that
boyfriend/later BIL loved anything with cinnamon in it...and HE HAD never had
monkey bread. Mom has been making Monkey Bread every Christmas morning since then!!

Sissy and sweet BIL gave my peeps a set of matching coffee mugs
from MJ Wilkinson Pottery.

Cats on the Job is mom's early birthday gift she'll be older than petrified dirt in January
What a fun book full of stories about Mom's favorite subject C A T S

Did you know they make coloring books for adults now?
Yes they do and this is what was on mom's Christmas wish list that she sent to Sis!
Mom has been so inspired by Ms. Lynne blog Sketching with Dogs,
Mom can't draw a straight line with a ruler BUT
she HAS always been a huge coloring fan. Creative Cats book was a big hit!!

Dad sent Sis a very simple but necessary wish list...new COLORFUL socks with
steel toes.  Lo and behold they don't make socks with steel toes but they do have reinforced toes!!
Bingo sis did a great job!!

Dad told me to tell you HE keeps his nails very very short, no clue why they get holes other  than the peeps do a lot of walking every day

After 'hissy' Sissy and sweet BIL left to visit his family, I was once again reigning DIVA
of the house.  I ran right up to their room to leave them a present on  their bed, my furs!
Dang it!!! Mom forgot to tell me they were not coming back here today!
Sometimes it doesn't pay to wait to give the gift that keeps on giving.
Next time they come I'll give them a double dose of furs.

Santa and Chrissie-mouse belonged to my Sissy when she was a wee girl.

HAPPY EASY SUNDAY TO YOU ALL

Monday, Tuesday and Friday of next week will be show and tell on some very special gifts I received!!

Monday Mews for the North Pole(twerking alert too)

As  promised on Sunday, I'm about to show you some highlights from
my trip to the North Pole with my fellow cat scouts
Salute to you all and thanks for the memories!!

Needless to say I was at the hanger way before the 10 am departure so I could
visit Raz....my guy the Pilot... in the cockpit.
Did I mention how handsome he looks in his Pilot uniform?

AS YOU CAN SEE OUR AGENDA WAS PACKED FULL OF FUN

We were only going to be there for one day. I knew I had to make, hay while the sun was shining.
As soon as the fasten your seat belt sign was turned off, I
ran like the wind over to Santa's Reindeer barn
I had a fine visit with Jolly St. Nick.  This guy
tried to tell me he was Rudolph...but his nose was not Red
Santa gave me a tour of the Elves workshop.  OMCs they are vertically challenged but they
work like giants, their hearts are as big as Texas and love making toys for all little boys and girls.

Raz and I took a ride around Mall of the Poles to see the decorations and do a little
window shopping.

OMCs the igloo cafe was a 5 Star cafe the coffee was hot,
the pie was hot and a good time was had by all.

Alas all good things come to an end.  It was time to board Fly Pole Airlines.
Truth be told I was tired so I curled up on a comfy seat, covered my eyes with my paws...
when much to my surprise vision of fairies, elves, reindeer and Santa were twerking in my
dreams.

TWERKING ALERT!!

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY GUY RAZ TOLD THE ELVES ALL ABOUT MY TWERKING ABILITIES AND OH WERE THEY READY TO LEARN ALL ABOUT IT. RAZ  ORGANIZED A TWERKING WORKSHOP
WITH THE ELVES AND SANTA PAWTICIPATED...

One thing for sure, I will never be able to UNSEE the visions of Santa TWERKING!!
