Thoroughly Poetic Pictorial Thursday
Today we join Two SPOILED CAT
Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.
In this program she was giving 13 Buffalo exams before they were going to be sent to Russia to be a part of a breeding program.. |
Dr. Michelle Oakley
Yukon Vet
by Angel Madi(son) D Cat.
There is a show on NatGEO
It's is all about Dr. Oakley a Yukon Vet
She is always on the GO,heading to and fro.
She works on domestic pets at her home.
When she hears the call of the wild,
out onto the tundra she roams.
She knows no fear she will treat any wild thing far and near.
I even saw her poke a bear.
Once out to a buffalo farm she was called.
She chased a buffalo who charged the truck.
Too bad, so sad that Buffalo was slam out of luck.
She is full spunk.
She is full steam ahead just like Old Faithful.
No matter their speed, when there is an animal in need.
She is an expert with a dart gun and with one puff of breath.
He was down for the count.
She is petite and very quick on her feet, he had met his match.
In no time at all she covered his head with a towel
went right to work on him 'cause that is what she Loves...
she does it with such ease.

Sunset, Sunrise and Harvest
Photo inspired by the crew at Rocking and Rolling in the Rockies.
R and Shyla's mom takes the most amazing photos of everything in her beautiful State. Her sunsets
at 8,200' are breathtaking. Thank goodness on Friday night October 12 at about 6:30 pm
I notice a glow coming into the kitchen window.
Knowing how quickly sunsets disappear, I grabbed my iPad.
This is straight out of the iPad just pure luck!!
I don't think I have ever been able to capture 4 colors in a sunset. I even caught a reflection
on the car too.
Thanks KB.
I'm trying to keep My Mind's Eye wide open for photo ops.
Sunrise October 14, 2018 @ 6:30 am
Taken with my iPad
Saturday afternoon, October 13, we saw a Harvest Festival and of course there were pumpkins
hay rides and jumpy houses and even face painting but I didn't get photos
because I didn't know the children.
I did see an adorable little girl whose face was painted like a fox. Too cute

Tuesday Tale....May Belle
I am joining Comedy Plus’ Happy Tuesday Blog Hop.
I'm a child of the 1960's. We had all kinds of weird dances including the Watusi. If I ever knew there was an animal called Watusi I forgot. In My Mind's Eye I recall dancing the Watusi very much like this arms out or bent at the elbow. Now I'm wondering if the arms up like this was supposed to be an imitation of this gorgeous set of horns May Belle has.
In the classic Watusi, the dancer is almost stationary with knees slightly bent, although may advance forward and back by one or two small rhythmic paces. The arms, with palms flat in line, are held almost straight, alternately flail up and down in the vertical. The head is kept in line with the upper torso but may bob slightly to accentuate the arm flailing. The dance, which became popular in the American surf/beach sub-culture of 1960s, may be enhanced if one imagines that ones feet are on sand.

Monday Sparks
Today I am pawticipating in Sparks
Sparks are all about spreading cheer and positive vibes via quotes.
There was a big fancy coffee station at the Ophthalmologist office last week.
So of course I had to sample it. As soon as I touched, 'touch here to start',
this message appeared.
I thought this quote was perfect for a Sparks Monday
I like my coffee black no additives. I come from a long line of coffee drinkers.
In My Mind's Eye, I recall many many happy conversations and gatherings
with coffee as the center piece.
WE have an eye appointment today for my better half to be fitted for new corrective lens now that his cataracts are gone. Even with the old glasses he is already seeing clearer and crisper colors.
I'll catch up with you later this morning.
Hugs Cecilia

White Wooly buns of steel
I'm getting close to the end of my Dixie Classic County Fair photos...
did I hear sighs of relief? LOL
At first, I thought the beautiful white Llama/alpaca (not sure since I could not see the face) was a statue

Nope it was real and it evidently loved getting groomed.
Look at all that gorgeous white fur. It is almost looked like a Giant Poodle.
