The friends we visited a few weeks ago 'inherited' a neighborhood OUTSIDE only cat a 5 years ago. One day he just appeared along with a Puppy Friend.
They learned that both were owned by the daughter of a new neighbor.
All of a sudden the daughter moved leaving the cat. He decided he liked what he saw at our friends home. They discovered his name was Charlie aka Sir Charles.
They were finally able to catch him for a vet visit. He was neutered and vaccinated.
Charlie is now a vineyard cat he follows Gary around the vineyard supervising all activities and maybe catching a rodent or two along the way. The collages below are of Sir Charles and some of the flowers on their property.
The first one I took as the 3 guyz, Gary in front, Bryan and Charlie head down to the creek.
Charlie has some mighty cute moves trying to draw one into his purrsonal space; however, beware he has fangs and claws
Our friend's property was full of blooms
I was amazed by the Passion Flower, click HERE if you'd like to know more about it
Here is closer look at lilies on the left of the above collage
Gary has recently become fascinated with Day lilies.
Left to Right Sunny Day, Lavender, the Purple Balloon Flower, before it opens it looks like a miniature balloon
ooh we love chalie... and the passion flowers are just beautiful...
ReplyDeleteCharlie seems to have found himself a mighty fine home. Lovely flowers too.

ReplyDeleteLooks as tho Charlie now owns the place ~ such an array of beautiful blooms and tho the Passion Flower is amazing, Day Lilies always remains favorites.
ReplyDeleteCharlie knew a good thing when he saw it.
ReplyDeleteI love Passion Flowers. Have since I was a kid. I use to pick them for the old neighbor lady Mrs. Duke and take them to her. She said they were her favorite.

ReplyDeleteMaster of his own wee universe, is Sir Charlie! And what a bonny universe it is too... YAM xx
The best story and pictures this morning. Charlie is very lucky to be the vineyard cat... I am so happy he found a gorgeous home with your friends. Heartwarming what with little Sawyer missing right now... a bit of very good news. The Passion flower is unbelievably beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful property your friends have and Charlie is a really adorable guy having the time of his life being "guardian of the domain" isn't he. Have always thought passion flowers were amazingly "complicated" flowers.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Pam

ReplyDeleteC; your friends garden is amazing....wish the flowers here looked half as good !! ☺☺♥♥
The day lilies are amazing! I have not heard of a balloon one, I shall have to check my friend in Greenwood's Day Lily garden. Passion flowers are so wonderful. I had one in the front of the house and it did quite well for a couple of years then some pest devastated it. Charlie is a wonderful working cat! Its so cool that he adopted your furrends!
ReplyDeleteI have never seen a Passion Flower. It is gorgeous! I am glad that Charlie landed with such good people. It sounds like a good visit.
ReplyDeleteThat is one cool cat. We loved the flowers.
ReplyDeleteThat the woman just heartlessly left him is disturbing but I am very very grateful that he was adopted and cared for. Perhaps he could have his nails trimmed slightly back?
ReplyDeleteThe nubs on the leaves of the passion flower were certainly interesting, and that the butterflies like to deposit their eggs there certainly explains the name. Hope you had a great holiday weekend. Amy
