Saturday Symmetry

L: There are lots of relocated Canadians in our City

R: Viewing Deck on Shelley Lake Trail

All the critters in three of these photos were in one yard.
From the car I saw the giant rooster, goat and turtles
I guess they don't eat much
And as luck would have it there was lots of Symmetry too

Feline and Nature Friday

 Hosted by LLB Gang

Friday, April 16 we took our morning walk around Shelley Lake's trail.  I  learned to hard way to always have my camera with me with a charged battery.  My dears we saw 2 Deer munching on their breakfast.  They were probably about 50' off from the trail in a thick grove of trees.  One was rather shy the other kept munching with one eye on me.

Right photo at the red star you can see the second deer, you might have to biggfy the collage.

I thank our hostess Comedy Plus

Today's feline is in the form of a garden flag holder I saw at at Logan's
while having lunch at Seaboard Cafe last Saturday (yes we go to Seaboard each Saturday it is located in the middle of Logan's Trading post).  I always find inspiration at both places.

I added the balloons...Angel Madi loved it when we brought balloons home.
I let the balloons rise to the ceiling. The ribbons were extra long.  She would stand on her hind legs batting at them.  Great enrichment and exercise.

Thankful and Thoroughly Poetic Thursday #16

 Today I'm joining the

I took a different route through our neighborhood for my walk on
April 19th.  I am so thankful I was paying attention.  I just happened to look down a few feet ahead of myself.  I spotted this beautiful Swallowtail butterfly on the street.
No injuries that I could see but it wasn't moving.
I picked up the pine needle (at red arrow) gently put it under the
butterfly.  It slowly latched onto the pine needle. I took it up into a yard nearby
placed it near the blade of grass out of harm's way.  It started to climb up the blade of grass.  Right photo of it from underneath.  Maybe if you biggfy you can see its delicate legs.  I hope it regained it's strength while it rested on the blade of grass.

Thankful Addendum: I meant to add how thankful I am for our Geek Squad maintenance contract.  The Geeks gave my computer an online work up yesterday.  Last weekend I had a note pop up about too many temporary files and one other crazy message.  They took care of that and updated files.  It took over an hour but it was well worth it.

Today we join Two  SPOILED CATS

Angel Sammy and Teddy for their poetic pictorial poem.

Here is our inspiration

Along the roads of my youth
there were booths full of fruit
veggies, and homemade goods.

Life moved at a different pace,
New friends were found along the road.
Time was made for a face to face.

Now
Highways with high speeds are traveled
No one has time for a face to face
All meets and greets are via tweets,
text or the
Book of Faces.

Wordless Wednesday

Hosted by Sandee at Comedy Plus

New sign on the NC Museum of Art Trail.
This part of the trail is a real challenge walking or riding.  Steep and curvy.

Flagler Beach, FL

I took the scenic route and went down A1A which which parallels the Atlantic Ocean. I couldn't really see when I took the picture but if you can open up the picture you'll see that there was a sailboat out there. I thought it looked pretty out there all by its lonesome.

Happy Tuesday with neighbor furries

Hosted by Comedy Plus

Each time we see Cody it is such a pleasure...and honor to
be greeted by Cody.

Cody is quite a distinguished gentle dog.  He is going to be 14 this year, which is quite an accomplishment for a large dog. His was a shelter dog, rescued by his furever family when he was about a year old. He helped his peeps raise his two human siblings.  One is a freshman in collage one is a senior in high school.
I've known him for about 11 years.  He never barks
loves everyone or maybe he loves head rubs; no matter he each visit with him is indeed special.

I rarely see outside cats in our 'hood; so seeing this Tuxie was a
surprise.  Pardon the blurry photo on the left.  I was so surprised to see the kitty and thought my opportunity to snap was fleeting;
however, he did strike up a pose but in typical Feline Fashion, he decided not to look at the camera.

BREAKING NEWS I AM HAVING LOTS OF TROUBLE LOGGING ONTO BLOGS

TODAY.  I CAN SEE ONE ABOUT EVERY 2 OR 3 LOG ONS.

HOPEFULLY TOMORROW WILL BE BETTER.

Awww Monday: Woody and Maggie, Sparks

Hosted by Comedy Plus

A most AWWWsome day

Thursday April 15, we took a wonderful trek on the N.C. Museum of Art trail. Not far into our walk, we saw the most delightful trio playing at one of the many shallow creeks along the trail:  Woody the Lab, Maggie the Burmese Mountain Dog and their mom.  Words cannot express how very happy I was that I had my camera.  We take the trail often and each time we see something new.

Woody's Mom was about to throw a small stick for him to retrieve.  I asked if I could take photos, she said absolutely. We were standing on the bridge.

Please note the size of the stick at the RED ARROW

Please note the size of the stick Woody retrieved (red arrow)

Mom repeatedly said: Drop, Woody, Drop.

Woody was proud of his stick.

Maggie's natural instinct to rescue kicked in...off she goes to see what her silly brother is doing.
Woody is not about to drop that stick.

Mom tries to entice Woody into the water with Maggie but
Woody is not letting go of this prized possession

He shows his Mom that is quite capable of carrying a stick
and swimming...after all he is a RETRIEVER.

We thanked Woody, Maggie and their Mom for letting us watch and take photos.

It was 100% an Awww Monday Moment

I hope she had lots of towels in her car.
Maggie had a lot of very wet fur.
