FLASHBACK JUNE 20, 2015
This box is one of my new favorite
boxes it has a foam
cushion in it and I fit in it purrfectly
Here are the Friendly Fill-Ins for tomorrow. Ellen came up with the first two and my wonderful co-host, Lorianne of Four-Legged Furballs came up with second two.
1. I avoid going outside after dusk like the plague. Mosquitoes see me as their buffet. My blood type is O+ learned years ago that is their favorite meal.
2. I hope to find lots of time to work on my 'crochet project' this summer.
3. My favorite subject in school was home economics, I took it for 5 years
my teacher was excellent. She taught me so many skills that I still use.
4. I wish there was a way for adults to learn to not worry about what other adults think. And spend more time remembering how it felt to look at world thru the eyes of children.
That was a lovely flashback of Angel Madi. My post is also for Box Day, so a day late. Unfortunately we were not taught home economics. I wish they had instead of having so many subjects which would be irrelevant to most pupils in later life. My nan taught me well though. (She looked after me and my brother while my mum was working.)

ReplyDeleteHello, Myrtle! Loved your fill-ins, and always delightful to be reminded of Madi! YAM xx
Your Crepe Myrtles are so beautiful and I loved Home Ec class!
ReplyDeleteLove your blooming trees, so pretty. Mom never liked home ec class because she was already cooking and baking at home and what they did in class was such simple stuff. She learned a thing or two but only took the one class that was required. Glad you learned a lot.
ReplyDeleteAll I have to do is just walk outside anytime of the day and it seems like the mosquitoes find me. What an incredible crepe myrtle tree that is. And what is that sweet angel doing in that box for heaven's sakes. Happy first day of summer
ReplyDeleteThe Crepe Myrtle is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteA box that has a foam cushion and fits? Can't get much better than that.
The fill in about home economics reminded me of when my daughter was taking it in school. She would constantly tell me, that's not how Mrs. Can't remember her name said to do it. When I went for parent teacher conferences I laughed and told her Home Ec teacher about it. She said I told them not to go home and tell their parents they were doing it the wrong way.
My Crepe Myrtles are showing out too. Home EC was my favorite class.
ReplyDeleteThose Crepe Myrtles are so pretty. I love that Madi flash back and your fill-ins. My mom never took a minute of home economics because she lived with a home ec teacher her whole life.
ReplyDeleteIt's always great to see Angel Madi. Great fill-in answers!
ReplyDeletebeautiful crepe myrtles, love the color, my uncles were bright pink. I got an F in home EC for ripping the dress I was making in half the 3rd time I ripped out the zipper. I passed with a low C and only took the one year. I was born the way I am and never looked at the world through a childs eyes, but then I did not know I was my dad from the same pea pod
ReplyDeleteYour Crape Myrtles are gorgeous. I miss ours. Angel Madi, that box truly is a most excellent fit! I am a skeeter magnet too. I haven't been bitten by one here in Florida and that has been almost 7 years. Missouri skeeters seeked me out! I hope you do get some time for your crochet. Not surprised by your #3. I came very close to flunking Home Economics in high school. Your #4... I definitley look at life often through the eyes of a child but I still worry about what other adults think though not like I once did. Enjoyed your Fill-Ins, C!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the purpley pink blooms on the Old Crepe Myrtle...and I also wish adults would try more to see the world through children's eyes!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Beth
Do they even teach Home Ec anymore? It’s certainly needed.
ReplyDeleteLove your fill-ins, especially the last one. That was the great thing about my job, seeing the world through children’s eyes❣️
Beautiful crepe myrtles! Pretty kitty!
ReplyDeletemadi…a box with cozee foam ‼️‼️😺😺 now yur talkin epic nap spot 💚🦋😺🐟🐾
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi found the best box for boxing🐱Great fill-ins. #4excellent😻Double Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend🐾😽💞
ReplyDeleteSome of our crepe myrtles are blooming, too, but some may not have recovered from the snow. We swamp dwellers don't deal with it often and it effects everything.
ReplyDeleteMadi, the box was fabulous and I thank you for joining Feline Friday.
Not caring what others think is very freeing, isn't it.
The Myrtles are a very pretty family and that's a sweet flashback! Good answers too!
