Poetry challenge 10/23/25

By Cecilia

Sheriff Royster  D.  Rooster
Was on patrol in the barnyard,
When, with his beady eyes, he spied,
Up on the hill,
A greedy kid with chubby thighs
running from the hen house.

Original Photo

Revised to go with the ending of my Poem

Sheriff Rooster crowed out loud
Stop, Hands up to the clouds.
The kid did EGGactly as he was told.
Folks eggs splatter and yokes rolled
Sheriff Rooster clucked and crowed out loud to the chickens
I'm coming
DO NOT CROSS THE ROAD.
