Teapot Exhibit we attended on June 4, 2026 at Cedar Creek Gallery.
Lunch box teapot was made by Lucas Oakley, the grandson of the founders of Cedar Creek.
I took a snap shot of the plaque by it.
Lunch box teapot paying homage to Hee Haw
This video (no music) is the last my snap of the day I thought it would be fun to start with today.
I took a snap shot of the plaque by above the lunch box
Quality isn't the best but I hope maybe on your end you can enlarge.
There were at least 150 or 200 teapots.
I took photos in groups. iPhone listed 54
Birds eye teapot quite clever.
Tasty cake is a dessert I remember from my childhood.

Very cool on the tea pots. I have a friend who collects them. Neat hobby for sure.

ReplyDeleteI see a great many are sold - including the Hee Haw... what fun they all are! YAM xx
Oh my gosh, Cecilia, these are amazing! I think my favourite is the one with the lovely iris, because of course I gravitate to flowers. I was able to read the artist's text regarding his lunchbox teapot - that one has to take an A+ for creative and quirky!
ReplyDeleteSo many creative and gorgeous teapots! No way that I could choose just one favorite!
ReplyDeleteThere were some interesting teapots there. Who would have thought to make a lunchbox into a teapot.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable collection. And the lunch box teapot! There is Roy Clark right on the box, I used to watch Hee Haw and I'm sorry today it's not on tv. What fun you must have had.
ReplyDeleteBrings back fond memories of Jean [The Canadian Cats] and how she loved her collection of tea pots, and of course ~ her tea! God bless her beautiful soul. We are in frequent touch with husband, Bill ... Shoko and Tyebe and doing well, as is he.
ReplyDeletePeople express creativity in many ways including teapots I guess. Where do they get these ideas from. Some are just plain odd and others are interesting. The lunchbox is interesting.
ReplyDeleteI always look forward to your teapot exhibit posts! My favorite this year is definitely The Tortoise & Hare, and in 2nd place the Hee Haw teapot! Great memories of watching Hee Haw with my grandmother, who loved to watch Roy Clark. I enjoyed reading about Papa Sid! Thanks for taking us along with this delightful post.
ReplyDeleteI also look forward to seeing your teapot photos...the Birds Eye teapot along with the Hee Haw are adorable and so original!!

ReplyDeleteJava Bean: "Ayyy, I think we need to add a few more verses to the 'I'm A Little Teapot' song to accommodate all of these ..."
ReplyDeleteIt was very enjoyable looking at all these teapots, so many different shapes and sizes. I will be going through them again before I leave. Hugs, Denise
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy teapots, too. A legacy, I think, from my aunt. I especially liked those long-legged and long-tailed ones. Thanks for sharing!
