On September 20, 2018 Sweet Sassy (Mom’s retirement gift to herself), passed away in her sleep beside Mom’s bed. As anyone who has lost a beloved fur baby knows, the pain was overwhelming.
Exactly one month later, I showed up here on The Hill. Mom wasn’t sure she wanted to open her heart to another fur baby, but I played a little “hard to get”, and she couldn’t resist the challenge.
The past 8 years have been the best of my life, and Mom thanks me every day for coming into her life during such a difficult time.

ReplyDeleteIt's never easy to lose a fur baby. Bringing a new one in doesn't replace them but it does help fill that void.

Kat you have done well keeping your mommy happy and comforted. Those are very important jobs. And we know she loves you right down to the last fur on your sweet body. And that's millions and millions, because we know when we have to vacuum that's what we pick up, lol.
