FROM PAM AND TEDDY

"I can't even get on Wordpress...................I can't do my blog for tomorrow - I have no idea what on earth is going on - I emailed Wordpress and got a stupid AI Bot that just gave me dumb answers as to what the heck is going on.    I'm so mad and frustrated.    I have been able to see other WP blogs but not my own.    "

Nature and Feline Friday

Nature Friday host LLB Gang

Red Shouldered Hawk taking a break on my deck...
he is most stately and gorgeous but he also too close to by bird feeders...
Me, myself and I had a debate about this visitor. Me and myself
reasoned with each other that Mr. Hawk could control the tree rodent population that has exploded in our yard.
I on the other hand worry about gorgeous backyard birds.  All of my feeders have a dome
over the feeder which is good protection from large birds of prey that would have to have advanced landing skills to get under the dome to the feeder trays.

Here is a bit of info from Wikipedia

Small mammals are typically the most common prey, especially rodents. Voles, gophers, mice, moles and chipmunks may locally be favored based on abundance. Slightly larger mammals, such as rabbits and tree squirrels, are also occasionally preyed on. Other prey can include amphibians, reptiles (especially small snakes), birds, fish, and large insects.[18] They will attack birds up to the size of a ruffed grouse or ring-necked pheasant. Steller's jays and blue jays, both of which being potential prey species, sometimes habitually imitate the call of the red-shouldered hawk and are known to be difficult to distinguish on voice alone.[19] During winters, red-shouldered hawks sometimes habituate to preying on birds commonly found at bird feeders. In some areas where they are common, crayfish can be important prey for this species. Unusual food items recorded for the species have included nocturnal animals such as eastern screech owls and flying squirrels and road-killed deer.[20]

FELINE FLASHBACK FROM
MAY 15, 2015

Mom said Madi guess what this is...so I closed by eyes
but I had no clue
When I gave it a sniff, I knew it was...
 gonna be T R O U B L E....
 and I was right...
Mom kept putting this bow all over me until I
no longer cared let her put it on my head in hopes
that she would be OVER IT!
Sometimes being an only cat has its rewards and
DRAWBACKS!!!
Mom has been bugging me for a few
days off!! After this riveting ribbon caper,
I decided either she goes or I go!!
I will be back on Monday 5/18, and hopefully
I won't be wearing a curly hot pink bow!!
Always,

Hugs Madi

Thoroughly Poetic and Thankful Thursday#262

Today is Poetic Thursday hosted by our pals Teddy and Angel Sammy at Two Spoiled Cats

Today's photo challenge

Years ago while at Busch Gardens
our inner child came out.
I don't like roller coaster
Bryan wanted to ride the Big Bad Wolf

😨😱
Rules were posted by the ride
height, health conditions and weight
I am a rule follower.  I tried to use
all as excuses...he said POOH to all of them.
Just once he said ....
OMCs let me just say it was the most fun we rode it 4 times in a row.
First ride I didn't open my eyes

Below are some of the pictures I took of it

Cars hang from under the track

Then off you go.....for a wild ride thru the canopy of trees
the next 3 times all my senses enjoyed the ride
eyes
smell
breeze
my tummy tickled from all the giggling
As you pass over the water, your feet are just 3 or 4' above
the water

This ride is no longer at Busch Gardens

  Thankful Thursday hosted

Thankful I listened to Bryan we had so much fun
