Wolf Pride and Lonnie Poole Golf Course NCSU

What a beautiful day to wander around Centennial campus at NCSU. These magnificent wolves are by Dick Idol, NCSU alumni, www.dickidol.com

Today the highly anticipated Lonnie Poole professional Golf Course opened unofficially on Centennial Campus. It will be used for the turf managment classes at NCSU, the NCSU Golf Team will use it for practice. In just a few years this portion of Centennial campus will have a hotel with full meeting facilities and of course this professionally designed golf course will be instrumental in drawing large groups for meetings and conferences. The official opening is July 11, 2009. The buildings in the distance are downtown Raleigh.

  3. Jack... While I was snapping pictures yesterday I saw a gaggle of geese on the green and not one of them was had a golf club. I expect pretty soon they will encourage all who are not paying a green fee to leave...maybe you and your buddies from the dog park can take on that duty...lots of running and barking involved. That would be funny,
