  7. Hi Madi,
I don't like those plastic baggie thingies either. They make funny noises that my ears think is scary. I don't like doorbells either. There should be a law against all those scary noises.

  15. Oh dear Madi, this is getting serious! We can't have you retreating to life in a cardboard box every time you see a plastic bag.
Now Martha is not keen on any bags but Bailey usually knows there are treats if mum has been to the supermarket so she is always in plastic bags.
Indeed even when they belong to someone else!
Perhpas your mom could start pulling out a little treat for you so you know the bag has a nice thing and is not scary.
Let us know how you ger on cos we don't want you having to go into rehab.
    love

  18. Hmmmm, that a good question. Maybe cuz it makes crinkley noises.

MOL @ the Blue Ribbon comment!

  19. Oh, me darlin' Madi. If only I was nigh, I'd pull out me sabers and run that plastic bag through! No plastic bag would ever torment my love - not whilst I was around! Methinks ye are very wise to hide yerself while the scoundrel is about. One can ne'er be too careful.

I be sendin' you gentle nose kisses and head bumps, me sweet.

    Your servant,
    Cap'n Ripley

P.S. from mom - I don't have any ideas why she might be afraid of bags. When Ripley's sister, Molly, was a kitten, she got her head through the handle of a plastic bag and it scared her to death as it "chased" her around the house. I alternated from being terrified that she would hurt herself to laughing hysterically at the sight. (Kittens can run REALLY fast!) Luckily, we were able to corner her and get it off and she was just fine. But who knows? Maybe something like that happened to Madi when you all were gone one time? Just a WILD guess.

  20. Maybe when you were a wee kitten something in a plastic bag startled you and traumatized you for life?! Poor Madi!

  22. Madi, we are hot footing it over to you to protect you from the evil plastic bags.

  23. Hi Madi

Most of my siblings are scared the plastic bags too. The noise is what bothers them. It always shocks Momma how noise tolerant I am. She sometimes wonders about my hearing, but she knows I hear purrfectly fine. So we just think it's the crinkly noise factor that you don't like.

Plastic bags make a sound that I like a lot. I know I can destroy them!
But... metallic sounds.... Oh-my... I´d go to hide in a box if I could!
    Take care

  26. Those plastic bags do make a lot of noise...maybe that's what scares you, Madi?? But that's okay...you should stay away from those bags...

  27. Doesn't your cat food arrive in a plastic bag???

    ReplyDelete
  28. Aw sweetie pie. Mommy should banish all plastic bags for-evah for the di-vah! It's purrrfectly reasonable. ;o)
