What is on Madi's Mind & Answers to Monday

Whenever you observe an animal closely, you feel as if a human being sitting inside were making fun of you. by: Elias Canetti, The Human Province
I often feel this way in Madi's presence...she often looks at me as if she is saying have you lost your mind....
Answers to yesterday's question:
1. Madi snoopervising meal preparation. She has decided to be the first feline to have her own cooking show. Every night when I start supper, she comes running from where ever she might be to sit right on the counter. She watches every move I make with great interest. She never tries to come over or get in the way. Madi loves to be where the action is!!
Madi here: Mom moves like lightning when she cooks. I get lots of good neck exercise.

2. The green stick was given to me at Starbucks. They called it a 'spill stick'. It fits into the lid of to go Venti coffee to go to keep the coffee from splashing out when driving. FYI: It works!!!
Ms. Liz from Caribou Crackers was the first to correctly guess this one!!

  2. Boy was I wrong! I understand the comment about a humnan hiding in there...Mistaya does that to me when she looks at me with a look that yells...Don't you understand what I am trying to say to you?? Can't you read my lips or see what my eyes are saying to you??? She is just too smart! Hugs, Gail

  4. Hi Mom & Madi,

I love that quote, it is so true. If we could understand cat language who knows what we would learn and more importantly would we want to know.

Madi, you would make a great hostess for a cooking show. Just no fried mouse please.

You really got us on the stick. I rarely go through the drive-thru at Starbucks. My favorite one is inside a mall.

  11. Well, I'm not surprised that I wasn't right about the paperweight thing, but am about the swizzle - er - spill stick. I should have asked my human brother, I guess. He's the only one here who goes to Starbucks. Looking forward to Madi's cooking show.

  12. Madi! I snoopervise my mom when she's cooking, too! But, um, I can't say that I don't get in the way. I mean, she might drop something that I'd have to clean up so I have to be close by - REALLY close by.

Oh, and mom luvs those spill sticks, too. She just doesn't know why it took so long for Starbucks to come up with 'em!

P.S. from Mayzie's Mom - When I was born, my mom had a '66 Mustang. The Mustang didn't last long after I came along either. She's never said anything about the seat but once, when I was only a couple of months old, she put my carrier (with me in it) on the trunk while she got something out of the car. She came back to find that my carrier (with me in it) had slid down off the trunk and landed upside down on the pavement. Luckily I was well strapped in and the carrier protected me in the fall. She said I was unhurt but looked VERY surprised!

  20. Mom only hits up Starbucks one time a year and that day is Black Friday. She MUST get her Peppermint Mocha Latte. It's one of her quirky traditions. We love to be where the action is too. We're always in the kitchen when mom's getting foods ready (she's a klutz and drops stuff) but dad thinks it's a ploy...we don't care either way...we get NOMS!

  26. I've been doing a little blog hopping this evening and I'm glad I did, because I found Miss Madi, who is a very beautiful and thoroughly charming human owner. I am servant to four cats, myself. They are Becky, Gina, Rachael and the lone male in the household, Leon. It's so much fun to find a new blog that you just know you are going to like.
