Steeple(less) Sunday # 29

We happened upon The Church of the Apostles completely by surprise. It is part of the AMIA (Anglican Mission in America).  It is nestled behind the new section of North Hills Mall.  From the front it looks just like an office building.  As we drove around it, we found this lovely brick facade with a cross.
When I Googled this church I could not much about this church but we BET dollars to doughnuts Jack's Daddy can find something about Church of Apostles. He works magic when researching.  Everything Mom found links you to the AMIA.  Click here if you want to read about AMIA.  From what I could understand, it is similar to the Catholic church in the way they worship.  According the AMIA website they have 70 million members worldwide.

I could not find when it was built but it looks fairly new.

I thought the street name was rather interesting...could this be a sign that we are running out of street names?  I'm certainly glad I don't live on this street...that would be a lot to write everytime you had to complete a form.

  2. We thinks that is a nice little church. How do you find all these churches?

You wanted to know if a student did that Halloween artwork on my blog. Mom says no... if only. Sadly, the children in our classroom have a very hard time.

Mom actually did that when she couldn't gets us to sit next to the pumpkin. It was a quick thing she did just to spite us... inspired by one of the stickers she was passing out at school to the kids.

  3. Hi Madi & Mom,

Hope you are having a great weekend and not getting too wet. Today was beautiful here but the weather man says (maybe as inaccurate as yours) that rain is coming in tonight. They also say the snow level is going to get lower on the mountains and possibly into the valley early this coming week. Icky!

That is a very pretty church, we like the clean lines. It seems to be surrounded by trees, woods maybe, and everything looks so green. Glad you happened onto this one.

    Hugs to all,

  12. That is a very pretty church! So there are actual people houses on that street, too? No, that would most definitely NOT be fun to write out all the time.

  13. Well, that's an interesting church and an interesting denomination, too. We've heard of the Anglican church, of course, but this seems to be something different.
