Thursday Theme Song: (Let me be your) Teddy Bear

Once again it is TTS and we thank Hootin' Anni for sponsoring this fun meme ...  we are addicted.
Today's song is by the KING ELVIS PRESLEY...yep the mom is a big fan of EP. She and Dad saw him perform in Greensboro, NC about two years before his untimely death.  The lyrics are short and sweet but the video at the end is ROCKIN'.
Baby let me be
your lovin teddy bear
Put a ribbon chain around my neck,
Oh let me be your teddy bear

I don't wanna be your tiger
'Cause tigers play too rough
I don't wanna be your lion
'Cause lions ain't the kind you love enough
Just wanna be, your Teddy Bear
Put a ribbon chain around my neck
and lead me anywhere
Oh let me be your
TEDDY BEAR.
All of the teddy bears in today's pictures
reside in my house.  They are way older than me. They were all treasured friends of my human sissy when she was just a wee
lass.  Mom told me they all have names...but she can only remember two names Brownie the big brown bear, and Biggy, the Panda, who is the oldest, ~ 35 years old, and most cherished if mom throws him out she could lose her Mother status.  MOL
Now get ready to rock and roll as you listen to EP singing
Let me be your Teddy Bear

  1. I remember when Elvis first sang this song. He had a rough life and an even rougher death, but I still love him. Thanks for posting an Elvis song!

  5. Hi Madi, it looks like you are trying to decide which one of those little fellows is going to be your Teddy Bear. I'm sure a lot of your bloggie boy friends would volunteer for the position.

We love EP and remember that song well. Biggy the Panda looks just like a bear I remember one of my younger sisters having.

  6. Great choice and video Madi. You should have heard mum singing along. On second thoughts it's probably best you couldn't hear her.

  11. Curious as a...
I like the way you gently check out the furry fellows on YOUR rug!
Do you ever snuggle up against them, when you think nobody's looking?!
I'm afraid I don't remember that song, but it's a great thing to have seen the King in concert!
Yes, he passed away too young!
    Hugs,

She said she had it for the longest time but doesn't know where it went and sure wishes she still had it cuz she luved it.

I think they all look like they'd be oodles of fun to destuff!

  21. That Panda, my daughter had one exactly like that,

Neither do I want a tiger or a tiger mama. You hear about the Chinese woman's book as a tiger mama.
