EYDD*: WHY I DON'T GO OUT

*EVIL YELLOW DUST (OF THE) DEVIL
IS WHY I'M PURRFECTLY HAPPY SITTING ON MY BOX
INSIDE THE HOUSE.

 BEFORE SUMMER COMES POLLEN SEASON/SPRING
IT ARRIVED OVER THE WEEKEND. MOM WROTE MY NAME IN THE POLLEN ON THE SUNROOF OF HER CAR.
THIS IS A LIGHT COATING. BEFORE LONG IT WILL BE
SO THICK YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO TELL IT IS A WINDOW.
THE CAR WILL BE COATED AS THICK AS THIS LEAF.  IF MOM AND DAD OPEN THE SUNROOF THEY ARE INSTANTLY SNEEZING
THIS IS MOM'S TIRE COATED IN A LIGHT DUSTING OF
 POLLEN
 THIS IS THE CULPRIT....PINE POLLEN
THE NEW PINE CONES SPROUT THESE PINE PODS
IN EARLY SPRING.  N.C. IS FULL OF PINE TREES AS IS OUR YARD AND EVERY TREE HAS 100s of these little devils
THIS IS OUR FRONT PORCH KITTY..
HIS JOB IS TO RUN THE EYOTDD AWAY FROM OUR PORCH
BUT HE USUALLY FAILS!!!
THE POLLEN IS ALL OVER THE FRONT PORCH TOO.  THE BEST WAY TO GET RID OF IT IS WITH A HOSE EVERY DAY OR THEY WILL BRING IT IN THE HOUSE.  IF MOM SWEEPS IT SHE'LL BE SORRY. HOPEFULLY BY THE END OF APRIL IT WILL ALL BE GONE!!

ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
NOW THAT MOM IS RETIRED OUR BLOGGING
VISITS WILL BE OFF BY ABOUT 2 HOURS...SHE AND DAD
TAKE A POWER WALK EARLY IN THE MORNING
THEN RUN ANY ERRANDS...BUT DON'T GIVE UP ON US WE'LL BE BY SOMETIME DURING THE DAY.

  1. Eww, the dreaded evil yellow dust! It makes me sneeze just to look at it but I do like the windshield with Madi's name. We see just a tiny bit of it here but nothing like what you are getting.

Sounds like a fun way to spend the morning, enjoy!

  6. Yikes, that's a lot of pollen! We don't have a lot of pine trees in our neighbourhood -- other kinds, but not pine.

BTW, our mom thinks it's great your mom and dad are power walking first thing! Way to go!

  13. MEOWZA!!!!!!!!!!! That's exactly what we are going through with the Live Oak pollen here.....and our mama is terribly allergic and just wants to sleep all the time.....and she sneezes and sneezes and sneezes and has such horrible headaches.

We hope your pollen woes are soon over.

We love you darlin' Mads, Mom and Dad.

  14. Eek! We are glad we don't get pollen like that here. We don't get a problem with tree pollens. The worst we get is grass pollen if it is not eaten down by the horses.

  15. We had that pine pollen in Montana but not here by the sea. It would actually coat the edges of the nearby lake and float there for several weeks.

  16. We have that too. It's about the only thing our Daddy DOESN'T sneeze at!

BTW, how is your Mom's catsitting gig?

  17. Whoa! LOOK at all that yellow dust! We don't have much of anything like that here but my dad has still been sneezing his head off cuz the wind has been blowing stuff around here lately. You're smart to stay inside, Madi!

And I went "SQUEE!" when I found out abouts "Bulldogs are Beautiful" day! Imagine! A whole day just to celebrates our beauty.

  25. We don't have pollen up here yet, but we will and it will be thick and yellow and it will make our noses run and we will all sneeze a lot. You might have something there, with the staying in, Madi.
