A MONTH AND A MOTH

Happy May 1st!!
One month ago, April 1st, was Mom's first full day of retirement.
Not only did she receive her very first retirment check today....

she also is happy to report that it has indeed been a profitable month.  She found 5 cents this month. MOL
Mom says most folks don't take time to pick up a penny. Nor do they remember this little diddy 'see a penny pick it up, all the day you'll have good luck'!!
Quite frankly don't understand all the fuss over 5 cents.  It won't even buy a can of Fancy Feast!!!
In spite my lack of excitement over Mom's 5 cents wind fall, I do think this is a most beautiful moth that was resting on Dad's car window.
Please ignore the pollen!!!
Happy Sunday and as always thank you for visiting us.

  1. Madi, our M.O.M. gets her first retirement check on Monday!! Wahoo...that's what she keeps saying all around the house. We have never gotten a check so we really don't know what she is hollerin about! But she does seem pretty happy.
We are glad you mom is retired too. We hope it means we will get more walks and more time on the beach now!

  3. Cool! One month of retirement and money, can it get any better?

Madi, with about 95 more of those pennies you can get that Fancy Feast (but only on sale and with a few more pennies for tax)!

    Happy Sunday!

  5. We are glad your mom is enjoying her retirement.

Hey! Sometimes my mom will pick up pennies sometimes she won't. Middleschoolers drop lots of them. Sometimes she finds dimes.... she will always stop and pick up a dime.

  12. I pick up all the change I see and at the end of the month I take it to the bank and send it through their change machine and then I get dollars.
The last few months I had over 25.00 :) that could buy a lot of Fancy Feast

  13. Mum never leaves a penny and always says that rhyme too. "See a penny pick it up and all day long you will have good luck but leave that penny lie and you will need that penny before you die". Save them because pennies make pounds.. Hugs GJ x

  17. My mom saves all her change and always picks up pennies. She puts all her change (from her fancy coffees BOL) in a jar and saves it. When the jar is full she deposits it in HER rainy day account. Papa teases her about this, but It is amazing how much spare change adds up to over a month!
