INTERNATIONAL BOX DAY: My kind of day

We interrupt our regularly scheduled Thursday Theme Song (TTS will be back next week) post to participate in IBD
(International Box Day) June 30.
I NEVER MET A BOX I DIDN'T LIKE SO I JUST HAD TO
PARTICIPATE.

My fascination with boxes started when, at 3 and 1/2 mos. of age,
I discovered the great big cold box at my new home was full of
food!!  This was also the same day Mom and Dad discovered
they had their hands full and I came with a no return no refund clause...MOL
I'm not a box snob, I like box lids just as much as boxes
Lo and behold once a year the peeps put a tree in the house, wrap up boxes in pretty paper.  Then they put the boxes under the tree just for my entertainment.
Some of the boxes have names...this one is named Bow.
Bow must be rather old because there is no way my petite figure could make it cave in like this it it were new and sturdy. MOL

This box's name is DeLonghi but his friends
call him 'De Box'.  I like him because he speaks to me
with an Italian accent...girls like accents, and after all it is
International Box Day....

My favorite box is my Condo box.  It was custom built for me
by Mom.  I specifically asked for lots of windows.
This is my side window
My plans called for a bay front window with a window seat but we Mom ran out of building materials.
My condo is reversible...when there is too much sun I can easily turn it on its side.  Then my side window becomes my skylight
and the open top becomes my patio/garden.  As you can see,
I have a red hot chile pepper growing in my garden
The best thing about my condo is when I'm feeling like I want to be alone, I can sit in it with my back to the maddening crowds.
My theory is if I can't see them then they cannot see me.
So there you have it my post in honor of Boxes the best things invented since Fancy Feast.
Sincerely Madi

  13. Madi, your condo is totally awesome. And the mom laughed and laughed when she read, "...I like him because he speaks to me with an Italian accent...girls like accents...." For some reason that just struck her as hilarious. :-)
