Today I'm featuring St. David's Chapel on the campus of
St. David's School, which is private independent Episcopalian School. I've admired this Chapel and the architecture for many years. So you can imagine my glee, when we received an invitation to a wedding in St. David's Chapel next month. The first picture is the view seen from Lassiter Mill Road. The windows all around the Chapel and School are nearly floor to ceiling. It will be a beautiful venue for a 5:30 wedding. The lighting will be amazing. The seating inside is theater style so everyone will have the best seat in the Chapel.
This picture is from the top parking lot looking down on the Chapel

St. David's School was founded in 1972 as Hale High School.
In the fall of 1990 St. Timothy's Middle School grades 6-8 was added to the existing campus of Hale High.
By the end of the school year the Board of Trustees voted to combine Hale High School and St. Timothy's Middle School.
In 1994 a 5th and 6th grade center was added.
In November 2002 the Board of Trustees voted to add grades K-4
At the beginning of the school year 2003-2004, the school would offer Grades K-12 and the new official name would be

ReplyDeleteHope you are all having a great weekend and staying cool. I am still giggling over the line from the book about the screen door. Having been there in the summer all I can say is so true.
