PANTRY INVENTORY

EVERY SO OFTEN I'M ABLE TO SNEAK IN THE PANTRY TO

TAKE INVENTORY.  TODAY I'M MAKING SURE THERE

IS NO SMELLY GARBAGE EVERYTHING IS TIDY. MOST IMPORTANTLY MY KIBBLE CONTAINER (BESIDE THE TRASH CAN) IS FULL.

WELL DONE MOM!!



BALANCING ACT

 I'M CLOSE TO THE EDGE WITH SOME FURS

HANGING OVER.....

I'M SITTING NEARLY ON TOP OF MOM

AND CAREFULLY WATCHING AS SHE

EATS SOME FINE SMELLING PORK ROAST

NOTE ALL MY SENSES ARE ON ALERT

AND FYI I DIDN'T GET EVEN A TASTE...BECAUSE

IT WAS SEASONED WITH GARLIC AND HERBS.

MOM SAID SHE DIDN'T WANT TO SHARE GARLIC WASN'T GOOD FOR KITTIES. 

UPDATE on house fire:  The entire roof is gone and part of the 2nd floor.  I expect there is significant water damge to the 1st floor.

We we told the family was not home. I hope their dog, Cody  was not home either.  I don't know them except in passing.  They are very friendly young family and Cody is a gentle giant.  They probably won't live there for sometime but I hope I'll get a glimpse of Cody and see that he is ok too.

Thunderstorm Safety Tips

Kitties, Puppies and 2 leggers!!!!

We had the mother of all thunderstorms on Wednesday....mind you we are not complaining we needed the rain but OMC/OMD

it scared the bejeepers out of me.  So I thought I go over thunderstorm safety today.

#1.

Run like the wind to find your peeps.

I was upstairs taking my 87th nap of the day when the first t-boomer hit.

Rather than reach down to comfort me she reached for the flashy beast.

#2.

Turn your back on the flashy beast and the crazy peep

#3.

Seek shelter in an interior room w/o windows aka 1/2 bath

I was astonished to see Madi go into the 1/2 bath.  She is smarter than her Mom

 #4.

Tell the Mom to put down the flashy beast ASAP and get her

tush in the 1/2 bath with you

Note from Mom:  This is the exact sequence of pictures I took. At the first clap of thunder, I knew Madi would be coming so I confess I grabbed the flashy beast.  Grabbing Madi during a t-storm can cause harm to human flesh.  The windows literally shook during the storm.  But we needed it in the worst way.  I'm not a huge fan of t-storms..I think it rubbed off on Madi

Shortly after I posted these pictures we found out lightning struck a home in our neighborhood...we don't know exactly where but a lot of firetrucks and police came down our street.
We hope and pray everyone is safe.
