Thursday Theme Song: Four Seasons....

Mom and I thank Hootin Anni for hosting
Today we are featuring
RAG DOLL
The video below has a special bonus the song was performed
at an Ice Capade show. At the very beginning of the video Mr. Valli tells you how B. Gaudio came up with idea for the song.
I'll get the show on the road by singing the opening chorus.
Mom typed the chorus in a larger font. As you can see from my picture, I'm singing with great conviction. MOL
Enjoy!!!

Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-oo)
Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-oo)
Ahh, ah-ah-ah-ahh (Rag doll, ooh)
Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-ooh)

Please click on the video to hear Frankie sing and watch the beautiful skating.

(Hand-me-down) When she was just a kid her clothes were hand-me-down
(Hand-me-down) They always laughed at her when she came into town

Called her Rag doll, little rag doll
Such a pretty face should be dressed in lace and a purple flower bonnet

Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-oo)
Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-oo)

(Sad rag doll) Andy will change her sad rags into glad rags if he can
(If I can) My folks won't let me 'cause they say that she's no good
She is a rag doll, such a rag doll
Though I love her so, I can't let her know

Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-oo)
Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-(Ooh, oo-oo-oo)

Ahh, ah-ah-ah-ahh (Rag doll, ooh)
I love you just the way you are

Ahh, ah-ah-ah-ahh (Rag doll, ooh)
Ooh, oo-oo-oo-oo-,(Ooh, oo-oo-ooh)

As always on TTS day Mom and I thank you for visiting.  We have such a good time
preparing TTS.  Mom loves looking for accompany pictures to go with the words.
Hugs M&M

  8. Awwwwwwwwwww, not only a song of my youth, but oh such memories. Madi, YOU are the doll here....but not a rag doll, a diva doll. Plus freckled and cute as a button. Hey? I like your mom's rag dolls...Raggedy ANNI and Raggedy Bud...I know, I know...he's Andy, but what ===a girl's gotta dream a little.

LOVED this post. Of course, you two never fail to disappoint. You most definitely make a good team.

  18. Love the song and the pictures you chose to go along with it. The little purple hat is so pretty and Madi looks so good in it. I like learning how songs come about, I am glad the story of the song was in the introduction.
    Nice Job! Happy Thursday!

  21. hahaha, Madi, I must admit, you don't look the least bit interested in those rag dolls but wanting to play with their hair...at least that's what Angel-Kitty would do. In fact, this morning she went into Nicholas Easter basket and pulled some of the plastic grass out and was running up and down the stairs with it in her mouth and acting like it was going to chase her...you ladies are certainly goofy at time :) but we love ya!

  28. This song used to be one of our mom's favorites way back when (way back). She is singing along with the video which we find just a bit embarrassing. We told our mom she'd better get some music ready for next week so we can dance.
