THURSDAY THEME SONG: Barry Manilow

Mom and I want to thank Hootin Anni for sponsoring

Mom is a big fan of Mr. Barry Manilow today's song is
OUR version (changes in bold red) of Mandy which we are calling
 OH MADI

To hear this very pretty song (his version not ours) click on the video below.  Mr. Manilow really tickles the ivories on this song too.

I remember all my life
Raining down as cold as ice
A shadow of MOM and a Madi

 A face through a window
staring in the night
The night goes into
Morning,

 just another day
critters passing my way
looking into my house
I see a memory
 I never realized
HOW HAPPY YOU MADE ME
OH MADI
Well you came and you gave without biting
and I sent you away
You licked your lips at me and stopped me from screaming
I need you today oh Madi
You were sitting on the edge of your perch
You were blinking away the hours when love was mine
You were caught in an uphill climb
No fear in your eyes
And nothing but your rear to get in gear

Well you came and you gave with lots of meowing

 and I sent you away
Oh Madi
And you hissed at me making me shake
And I need you today oh Madi

Yesterday is a dream
Now I face the morning
with a gentle breeze
and a strong cup of coffee
OH MADI

MOM AND I ARE GLAD THIS SONG IS OVER
AND WE HOPE MR. MANILOW WILL FORGIVE US.

MOM ASKED ME TO THANK EVERYONE FOR THERE VERY KIND COMMENTS ON YESTERDAY'S POST!!

  11. That is such a purrfect rendition of that song and Mr. Barry should be very honored that he was singing about Madi. Those are great words. We too loved the part getting the rear in gear. Take care and have a great day.

  13. I enjoyed the "Madi" version of the song. Barry Manilow is quite the singer/song writer. I love everything he does, even his commercial jingles. Oh to be That talented.
All the photos are great, but my favorite is the one of her all stretched out looking up as if to say, Really Another Picture? Love It!

  17. I remember the original song, because my parents had a collie named Mandy!
We all sang it to her every time, much to her delight. NOT!
BUT I really loved your version, with perfect photos to go with it! LOL
I am sure Mr. Manilow will approve! :)

  21. Oh I think it would be pretty hard for Barry Manilow to forgive this one. Lee got to meet him several years ago when he was at Riverbend, which is right next to the Coney Island you went to. It was a meet and greet promotion by a local radio station.
