Some days I have to....

SING FOR MY DIN-DIN

 AND IF THAT DOESN'T WORK
SCRATCHING ON THE GLASS DOES
Mom here:  Most afternoons I can be found reading on the porch.
If I don't come inside exactly when the big hand is on 12 and the little hand is on 4, ...Madi comes to the back to to remind me.
She does not scratch the glass she beats on it like she is playing drums.

  1. HaHaMeow! Who needs a clock when you have a kitteh that can tell time fur you? I too, enjoy the drums, especially if my Mommy is in the human litter box with the door closed! We should have a jam session someday, Madi! XOXOXO from your main mancat, Prancer Pie.

Pee Ess - Mommy said thank you fur the sweet words this week.

  4. I can never figure out if our kitties have built in clocks or if they can actually tell time. From waking us up five minutes before the alarm clock goes off each morning to knowing exactly when it's time for meals, they just know. Prancer is right, who needs an alarm clock when you have cats.

  9. And your Mum's point is? I expect nothing less than punctuality to the second, and our cat Daphne is even worse, ooh she can howel if we have a lie-in! Works though, especially with Daddy2Legs who needs constant badgering to get things done, we can hear them in conversation, Daphne slowly getting louder and louder, Daddy2Legs saying he is coming he is doinhg his teeth, in a minute he says, calm down Daphne, ooh she howels - gotta hand it to her as it ALWAYS works! Poor Daddy2Legs.....bless x

  15. So I guess you can tell TUMMY TIME just like Ernie and I do. NICE technique fur keeping "HER" on task, Madi.

  16. we were discussing this over coffee this morning, how do they know what time it is. at exactly 4:55 Jake comes to daddy's side of the bed and says GET UP, once bob puts one foot off the bed, Jake comes to my side and puts his face in my hand and says GET UP. both of them at exactly 3 pm which is feeding time, stand up and start to pace and if we dont get up, the come and stand on us.

  18. Madi, you are one task master as a Diva!
But how do you guys know when it's exactly dinner time
    without telling time?!
Thank goodness you don't scratch the glass.
The thought of sharp nails clawing at it is like
nails on a chalk board!!! UGGGGG! LOL

  21. It looks more like you are screaming at your mom not just singing. I can't believe she doesn't jump right up at your first request and makes you beat on the glass to get some food!

  22. "Sing for your supper and you'll get breakfast. So si-i-i-i-i-ing and you'll be fed."

  23. She's making sure that you know what time it is Mom.

  24. Madi is your living alarm clock; she'll keep you in line and on time :-)

Btw Ben is a glass scratcher and does it all the time when we are on the deck and and he is at the window. Also he used to do it on the french doors to our bedroom when Molly was alive and he was not allowed in at night...so restful - LOL!!!

  25. Here's a little tip from your good friends Pip and Rosie ...walk right behind your mom until she trips over you. Sometimes, I even stand right behind her and when she turns around - CRASH, she trips right over me. Sometimes, this even results in her dropping the Fancy Feast all over the floor (cause she always feeds the cats first).

    Your pal, Pip

I totally get your feelings. Just today Mom was outside playing with her dirt (well she was really repotting her flowers) and she wouldn't come in to FEED US! Oh were we all doing the hungry dance. We were about to faint from not having food since 9am. I mean that is forever to go without nourishment, you know what I mean. Finally she came in and we got fed but not before we nearly passed out.

  29. You just can't fool that built-in clock. Phantom reminds mom every night when it is bedtime, i.e. cookie time:)

Sure it is important to make her know it is time, right?

  31. We keep telling our mom she may as well get rid of our clocks because our built in clocks are more reliable. And the only reason she needs a clock, is to know when it's time to feed us and treat time.

  32. You must be better than an alarm clock! I can't believe the neglect you face Madi. You shouldn't stand for it.

Boris gets really antsy and talky if his dinner is even a second late. Maybe you two should get together?
