Just Wrong

Recently, I heard the peeps discussing the rising cost of gasoline; however, those kinds of things don't concern me so I continued to nap until I heard. 

Madi you need to get a job!! Let me just say, I quickly awakened from dreamland screaming in at the top of my lungs TO STATE MY THOUGHTS ON THAT SUBJECT!!

 Mom said she found the purrfect shop for a 

DIVA to Work

 I told her I was certain using  work and Diva in the same sentence; was wrong on all levels. Then she said
"well Madi that is just how the cookie crumbles".  
Honestly the woman has lost her mind.  All of a sudden we're talking about cookies!!?? Trust me had there been any
cookie crumbs I would have seen them.

Knock, Knock ....

It was REALLY cold on Sunday, February 12th.

I'm sitting on my perch and I hear Knock, knock

I politely asked, Who is there? To which I received

no reply so.......

 I decided I best check to see if one of my peeps was locked outside.  After all, it was nearing din-din time. 

You'll never believe who was knock, knock, knocking

 OMC it was Mr. Whitebreasted Nuthatch

standing outside on my window sill knocking on my window

I think he wanted to get in to warm his tootsies 

 I introduced myself as the resident Diva Cat. I told him he looked very tasty cute; however, I thought maybe his GPS sent him to  the wrong window.

HAPPY 42ND ANNIVERSARY TO MY PEEPS

I really wanted to buy the peeps something very special  for their 42nd wedding anniversary.  However, I don't have any green papers, so I perused the want ads.  Who knew there are no jobs for DIVAS who have no marketable skills...tsk tsk tsk!!

This is my unhappy face!!

 Being a resourceful cheap girl ,  I looked around the homestead for something I could use as a re-gift.

 I found a heart shaped dish and a candle holder with hearts on it. As you know, today is all about hearts.

 I turned my sniffer on high alert as I looked for foodables for the dish. Yum I smell something delectable here but it wasn't exactly what I had in mind.

 My sniffer's high alert sensor went off as I approached this

little tin pail with hearts on it. I stuck my head in to check it out.
*

Eureka I struck 'chocolate peppermint!!  I found

dark chocolate heart shaped York peppermint patties.

The peeps love dark chocolate and they love peppermint!!

It took me a while but I was able to arrange the candy 

on the heart shaped dish.  When the peeps came in the kitchen, 

I said................

 HAPPY 42ND ANNIVERSARY 

and

Dad told Mom he didn't want her to cook today.  I hope that doesn't mean she can't open my Fancy Feast can!! They are
 going out to breakfast this morning and supper tonight.
They ordered a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream Cake too
Mom says that will be their lunch.

EASY LIKE SUNDAY #6

Sometimes during the winter 

Mom will leave their bedrooms shades down

so I can take a long nice Sunday nap in  my cozy diva cave.
