Our submission for 'this beautiful moment'

is the most glorious sunrise Mom has ever seen in all of her 200+ 

years.  

The picture was taken on January 28, 2011, on Centennial Campus
at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, NC.

Thank goodness mom had the flashy beast with her.  
Mom enjoyed This Beautiful Moment until the sun completely rose above the horizon.

The best laid plans......

...OF MOMS AND DADS SOMETIMES DON'T WORK OUT

THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A MOM AND DAD ARE AWAY POST.  

DAD THOUGHT HE WAS HAVING ALLERGY SYMPTOMS BUT ALAS A NASTY COLD REARED IT'S UGLY HEAD. AT 10 pm LAST NIGHT THEY DECIDED THEY BEST STAY HOME RATHER THAN SHARE THEIR GERMS WITH THEIR FRIENDS.

Mom said my eyes were as big as saucers. I guess she was right

I definitely have something in my sights

I was so intent to discover exactly what species of creature it was that I stood very tall on my tippy toes still with wide eyes. I meowed for mom to come see the prehistoric bird.....

she said silly kitty it is just a fan. It has been on the porch for 6 years. She uses it every time she is on the porch but for some reason....I just noticed it.  I told her I had bigger fish to fry than to notice her fan.  That being said may I encourage you to click on the links below to see today's Olympic events.

PS:  Mom says to say she is so sorry if she missed visiting you yesterday.  She had to take my G-ma to a marathon Dr. appt. she left home at 10 am and returned at 3pm. The old girl (mom)
was plum tuckered out too.
PSS:Several folks asked about the box I was sitting on yesterday.  It contains my Dad's train that he takes to Mr. J's every Wednesday when he and the train brains get together to run their trains.  I cannot tell you all the most delicious fragrances it has when he comes home from Mr. J.

ONE WEEK AGO TODAY MOM WAS ALL OF A SUDDEN 
BLOCKED FROM OUR BLOG all she could do was see it.
She had our Gymnastics post prepared but needed to 
make a few changes.  

Needless to say there was panic in 
"RIVER CITY".  
We  thank Jack's very computer
savvy TG for helping us on Monday, July 30th, the day before our Gymnastic Event.
Without his expertise and calming way mom might have blown a gasket!!
