MOM SENDS A TON OF THANK YOUS FOR ALL THE LOVELY BIRTHDAY WISHES YESTERDAY...
TO SAY MOM HAD A COLORFUL BIRTHDAY WOULD BE AN UNDERSTATEMENT
SHE BOUGHT SOME NEW WALKING SHOES
WITH DAY GLOW GREEN ALL OVER THEM.
THE WERE SO BRIGHT I HAD TO HIDE MY EYES. MOM LOVES VIBRANT COLORS
DAD SAID HE MIGHT WALK A FEW FEET BEHIND HER AT THE MALL IN THE MORNING. MOL
HER ICE CREAM CAKE WAS DECORATED RED WHICH IS HER FAVORITE COLOR
MOM MIGHT BE OLDER THAN DIRT BUT HER REFLEXES ARE FASTER THAN GREASED LIGHTNING. IF I HAD THOUGHT JUST STICK MY TONGUE OUT INSTEAD OF SNIFFING I WOULD HAVE HAD LICK
OF THE CAKE!

Yesterday at 9:30 am they took the stomach tube out of G-pa. They started him on a liquid diet of jello, broth, juice and coffee which he will have for 3 meals. If all goes well, he will be on a soft diet tomorrow. THIS was his 3rd major obstruction in 4 years...we are hoping he will realizes he has to CUT some things he likes out of his diet...such as
French baguettes...which are hard as rocks and hard to digest.
We both thank you for all your purrs and concerns and we'll keep you posted.

Nothing with you wanting to lick the cake. Ice cream is good good good. You should have done it. What's the worst that could have happened, she cuts off that part and has to give you that part so she would have to through it out.

Looks like the shoes and cake passed your inspection. As kittehz it is our job to make sure anything that comes in the house, has been thoroughly sniffed/licked. (Too bad about the ice cream cake.) The shoes, the cake, fabulous Madi. We are glad mum had a great day. We need to be bright during these grey days. Paws still crossed for Grandpa. You know just a thought and do ask the doc but an old trick to get rid of obstruction in horses, yes, is flat cola. Just let it go flat and they drink it and it clears the tract. Not sure if it good for peeps but seriously why not? It is only cola after all. Don't try without asking though. Have a terrific Tuesday.

You know Madi, the more we think about it.... I bet Mom bought those bright sneakers because if she is wearing them then happens to wander off, you'd be able to find her. After all, she's gonna glow in the dark now!
ReplyDeleteWe're happy to hear that Grandpa is gonna get some liquid diets into him. I bet the jello is gonna taste really yummy to him. Tell him if hes gonna continue eatting all those yummy but hard breads, he needs to dunk it in his coffee first.
Believe me when I tell you (cuz we have Grandpa Bob living with us) you CAN'T teach an old dog new tricks.
