Happy Birthday to G-Ma and COLLECTING...

Happy 85th Birthday to my G-ma
March 28, 1928
Her new meds seem to be helping with her hallucinations.
This picture was taken on August 15, 1998 at my
human sister's wedding.

COLLECTING
MOM'S BEEN DOING A LITTLE SPRING
SPIT POLISHING AND CLEANING

SHE SAID WHILE THE VASES WERE DUST AND (CAT )
HAIRLESS SHE WANTED TO SHOW YOU HER
SHELL COLLECTION
B.M. (before me) she found
Four whole sand dollars and a piece of
sea sponge on Atlantic beach.  It is nearly
impossible to find either now

she especially enjoyed collecting what she calls
miniature shells

NOW SHE JUST COLLECTS PICTURES OF
ME
WHEN WE STARTED BLOGGING IN 2009, SHE ONLY HAD SOME POLAROID SHOTS OF ME....NOW
SHE HAS MORE THAN SHE CARES TO ADMIT...FOR FEAR
OF BEING CALLED A
CRAZY CAT LADY.

Those shells are so beautiful. Our mama remembers when you could find whole sand dollars too but that was long ago.

  8. Oh dat is just wonderful news dat your G-Ma is doin' good on da new meds. Does her has extras? I has been told I hallucinate...or was it delusions of grandeur? Whatever.

Good shells do be hard to find now. When da hoomans was at Jekyll Island they seen bunches though! But they won't go back theres cuz they also had too many bugs.

A good collection of Madi fotos is priceless and at least your mom knows her priorities are now...hehehe.

  9. Happy Birthday to your Grandma! We're so happy the new meds are helping her. That's always good!
Mommy loves those sand dollars. She almost bought a lamp made entirely of sand dollars and shells but she knew she'll either have to hide it in a cabinet or risk having us break it. Hee hee.

  10. Happy, Happy Birthday to Grandma! We're glad to hear that the medicine is helping her. That's just too frightening. We're sending her long distance wishes for a peaceful day.

We just absolutely LOVE your mom's shell collection. My Mommy has a large collection of them too in NY. She's collected them ever since she was a little girl from all the places she has been. Mommy has been looking for a lamp that she can fill and display them in, but hasn't found the lamp yet. (She knows they are made but are very hard to find.) Your Mom picked the perfect jars for them!!

Luv your beach collections! There is a beach near me where you can find shark teeth and collect them. Next time Mom goes there I'll remind her to look for some to send to ya :)

    Waggin at ya,

The shells are pretty; our human used to collect shells (and pretty-coloured stones too), but hasn't kept any of them through her various moves.

  16. so now instead of MOM she will be known as CCL crazy cat lady... or maybe crazy shell lady... mother was a crazy shell lady... she had hundreds of shells, she grew up here where i live now and shelling was very popular, the beaches were covered with them, and now they are few and far between.

Mom has over 50000 pictures, mostly of us kitties, so tell your Mom not to feel bad. It's not unusual for Mom to take several hundred at a time of us to get only 3 or 4 she will publish on the blog. She's persnickety! Happy Birthday to your G-Ma! She sure is purrty!!!
