This Moment, {See Beautiful} with a slight twist

This was my reaction when Mom told me
she didn't by any Fancy Feast.  It has absolutely nothing to do with the story.  Evidently my expression was exactly what she felt.

This is a picture of my grandpeep's garage
Now for the rest of the story.
take it away MOM
On July 3, 2013, I went over to check on a few things at their house (this is a reenactment staged on July 8, 2013 I did not have my camera with me.)  On the day in questioned there were black ominous clouds lurking over the house so I decided to
use my remote to go in on the right side.

 Remember reenactment..
I pulled in on the right side closed the garage door
and went about my business.
When I pressed the remote to leave the door only went up 3/4 of the way.  I tried the opener in the garage wall...motor groaned. Kaput.

I tried to push the door up manually but it would not budge...the panel was bent.  As you can see it is a double garage.  Thank goodness I have a small took me nearly 15 min of *pulling forward, backing up* repeat* to angle the CR-V to the vacant side.
Did I mentioned it was HOT AS HADES IN THAT GARAGE TOO.
I finally got the car straight enough to back it out.
BUT since the motor would not stop groaning
I decided I better unplug it.  I found a ladder in my Daddy's

Then I had to figure out what to do about the crippled
right garage door that was still 3/4 of the way up.  Thankfully I was able to manually pull it down.  THEN I, appropriately wedged
Crutches on both sides of the track to just to be sure no one could open it.  The repairman came on July 9.

Needless to say seeing my car at the bottom of the driveway
was indeed
This Moment, See Beautiful

I was rather proud of my accomplishments
I might be older than dirt

  1. Job well done!! I bet it was a beautiful sight to see the car outside the door. Of course you could just put it in reverse and like a stunt woman run right through the door. I mean the repair person was coming out anyway.

  2. I love the way you describe the forward and back, repeat process like it was a crochet pattern! LOL! Glad you got out of the garage.

  3. Well done! Mommy says that was quite the accomplishment. We didn't know what to expect when this post title said with a slight twist. MOL!

Have a happy Friday and stay cool! XOXO from Madi's bestest mancat, Prancer Pie.

  4. Can you hear our applause? That was a stroke of brilliance, or desperation, to move the car to the other side. It's amazing what can be done with a little determination and lots of pulling and tugging. Definitely a beautiful sight to see the car outside the garage. Great reenactment too!

  6. Bet you were makin' 'No Fancy Feast' faces yourself...and we're thinkin' the air might have been a bit blue with HBO words. But great work! We could just picture it. And no we're not laughin'--that was just a cough.

  7. Well done Mom. Here's to all resourceful women everywhere!
    Cheers, Gail.

  8. Yahoo for Mom!! Madi, you look kind of scary in that first picture. Not that I could ever be scared of my sweet pal Madi, but that is a great scary face. Just sayin..

Glad your mom are one of thoose resourceful kind , just like my mom :)

  10. Yes, that was quite an accomplishment by your human, Madi, but it still does not excuse the lack of Fancy Feast!

  16. I say, "Go You!" That was quite an adventure! The crutch set-up was very smart and inventive.

  19. YOU GO GIRL!

Madi, your Mom is one smart cookie. Using those crutches like that was very smart. And... with her excellent driving skills, you should sign her up for NASCAR!

  30. Well done! Mommy giggled when you mentioned you had a small car and it turned out to be a CRV. Mommy's car would have to be tiny. MOL.

  31. Thank goodness! Now, about that lack of food....Purrs...

  32. Holy Cow Patties!!!! Not only did you NOT gets your Fancy Feast, butts you almost lost your Moms, too?! Oh, the HORRORS!!!!
If this would have been a man, there would have been a hole cut out of the garage door just big enough to fit the car through, and then they would have plugged it with plywood and duct tape!!!! Just sayin'......Women are just, well, smarter!!! BOL (sorry to any man who might read this ~ Ma did not mean to imply that men are stupid, well....nevermind...)
    Ruby ♥

  33. I am so proud of your human for figuring that out!! Clap clap clap!! :)

And Madi I understand your feeling about the FF!!!

    Have a great weekend.
    loving purrs
    your BFF

  35. My sister had to replace her garage door opener not too long ago. They are like car batteries--quit at the worst possible times ;)

  36. Geez! That would be scary! Glad you got out!

  37. Good job! That's a lot of work just to get the car out!! I probably would have taken the bus, MOL.

  38. So Glad you got out...Mummy would have climbed the walls kicking and screaming...don't tell her I said that she will....oh sorry she's coming to see what I'm saying and doing! closing quickly...Kitty
