Dr. Seuss Day

Today we are celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday
with a very feeble attempt (on Mom's part, I cheered her on)
with a poem.

THEY CALL ME MADI THE DIVA KITTIE
SOMETIMES THEY CALL ME PIGGIE
BECAUSE I BEG FOR PITY

WHENEVER MY TUMMY IS EMPTY
BUT ONE THING FOR CERTAIN-TY
MOM NEEDS MORE PITY
THAN MADI THE DIVA KITTIE
BECAUSE HER RHYMING SKILLS
ARE PATHETIC-TI-KY

  2. We thinks your Mom did great Madi, we gives her four paws up and an E for effort. Our mama tried, Cod bless her, but we said don't worry, we'll take it from here mama.
    Happy Dr Seuss Day!

  4. Well Madi I think that this is a super poem, and well done Mom too.
    Toodle pip!
    Bertie.
PS Gail may not be the best judge of what is a good Dr Seuss poem, as Dr Seuss was not part of the childhood literary landscape here in the UK. That's also Gail's excuse for not assisting me with a poem for today. That and the fact that we are down in Nottingham just now and she has been (sigh), 'too busy'.
