This Moment, See Beautiful

This Moment at 5:39 pm, Wednesday, 4/9/14 Mom Saw Beautiful
Her first hummer sighting of the season..
there was shouting and dancing. She thinks the first day of
hummingbird season should be a National Holiday.
She was in mid sentence at supper and YELL
H U M M E R
I thought I would have to give Dad CPR with
my itty bitty Kitty Paw

I am delighted to be
 JOINING MY GAL PAL

While mom was out taking pictures she left me in charge of the office.  I told her I'd be waiting my my sun puddle

Our house faces north so we don't have lots of things blooming except in the Spring.  Today we are
featuring our Red Bud tree...the beautiful blooms are lavender not
red...MOL

since the collage is kind of small here is another picture

every so often you see this  heart shaped leaf on our blog
Each time mom sees this beautiful leaf she takes a moment
to enjoy it.
It is a Red Bud leaf.. and the tree will be absolutely full of these
gorgeous leaves all summer.

  3. Eeekkk - the attack bee! We love bees here (especially their honey), but that bee looked like it had a mission. The red bud tree is a spectacular sign of spring!

  4. OMC! We are glad you didn't have to give your Dad CPR when your Mom spotted the hummer. Of course the first one of the season is reason to celebrate. Now the bee attacking your Mom, that's a little scary.

    Enjoy your break.

  8. We think WE may have to give Mommy CPR if SHE saw a hummer around here. They are so rare she has only seen one and that was when she was a little girl. She thought it was a bee at first and almost swat it with her badminton racket.

  10. Beautiful Spring blooms!!! We sure wish we could get hummers here.....one of the (few) downsides of living on the beach.

Raz says he will miss you a LOT but understands that sometimes the humans need a break!!

  19. I love redbud trees and wish we had one! Do you feed the hummers? If they are in NC we should be seeing them here any day. I don't feed them because I'm not diligent enough about cleaning and refilling the feeders...but I sure love to see them. Madi your Mom is right to make lots of noise about the return of the hummers!

  25. That tree is beautiful. Dad saw the first swallow on Tuesday. He and mum try to beat each other to see the first one. They were in the car and he started yelling, "Swallow swallow swallow!" Mum was like, what? She didn't know what he was going on about at first. Now she's bummed that he beat her to it, and she has to wait until next year to try and beat him again.

  29. Our National Hummer Day won't come for a few weeks (about 5-6), but we have about the same reaction around here...and it continues all summer long. Every time a hummer is at a feeder one of our pawrents yells "HUMMER!"

  30. Mom loves the redbuds too - she is hoping to have one here some day. Meanwhile she enjoys the one across the stret:)

    Congrats on that hummer sighting.
