Monday Mews: The Desk Caper

At Noon on Thursday 9/25/14 I was MIA for the remainder of the day.  If you missed the reason click here.
I was in kitty dream land when I heard all sorts of commotion.
So of course I had to check things out up stairs.
Imagine my surprise when I found my desk moved to the middle of the floor, all the desk top thingies gone.
Jumping catfish I looked on the floor to find

The biggest mess, my 'puter and  my keyboard
shoved in the corner and a tangled mess of cables and cords.
THEN the dreaded door bell rang.  I wasn't expected any company but I heard strange voices so I knew I better found a hiding spot.

After the introoders left my house, I went back to my office to find
a new desk...Well it really isn't new but it is new to us.
It was my GrandPa's Desk.  It has been in storage since
June 2013, along with a  lot of other things.

My Mom was too busy working on grandpeep's estate stuff so
just got around to making room for Grandpa's desk in my
office. Mom got everything all set up on
the desk.  We actually have more room in there since
the printer fits on the desk and the desk has a pull out section
with extra space on it each end.

After  I put my stamp of  approval on it, I decided I had worked hard and deserved a snack.
Mom says she'll be more efficient now but the
jury is still out on that.
Hugs madi

  13. That is such a beautiful desk, Madi - bigger desk means more room for Madi:) We have a very nice desk in our basement that Mom could really use for her puter and stuff - it even has a customcut glass top so it doesn't get all scratched. BUT it is SO heavy, noe of the peeps here can lift it to the upstairs:(

    Happy Monday.

  14. I always wonder why humans make a mess first when they buy new things... they should ask us how to manage a replacement. I totally love your desk that's a desk for a president or a Queen.
