TWO TUESDAY TALES

TALE 1
I WOULD LIKE TO OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE
Mayors Elect, MURPHY AND STANLEY
APPOINTED ME TO ONE OF THEIR
COVETED CITY COUNCIL POSITION
As of 1/1/15 I will be working in the

Office of FLUFF Affairs
F(ellowship) of L(ovable) U(nited) F(eline) F(riends)

TALE 2

My peeps abandoned me on November 8 and 9...without my PRIOR Approval, I might add.  They went to visit my human sis and her hubby. They had a fine trip. Along the way they saw some interesting sights.

WARNING BIRD ALERT BELOW!!

*
While driving along Hwy.70 East..mom noticed a huge
black patch just ahead in field...all of a sudden the patch began to
rise off the ground all at once...it was a flock/gaggle of
at least 87 zillion birds. Thankfully she had a camera out.
This picture isn't showing all of them but OMCs Dad
said there must have been thousands of them.  They saw
the land and lift off twice.  They said they have never seen
this many birds at one time.

Next they saw a cotton field.  It looked like snow.   All of the cotton had been picked and baled.  The peeps have seen the fields before but never seen it baled.

They saw  lots of gorgeous fall colors
They thought this cloud formation with the sun
was especially unusual
They had a delicious early birthday celebration for my BIL
at Parrott's on 11th Street in Morehead City.
They gave it 10 stars

However, when they walked in the door they reeked of nastiness like I have never smelled.  It appears Harley,
my sis and bil's cat, was especially fond of Mom on this trip.
He sat in her lap A LOT...(I'll never hear the end of that).
Harley loved snuggling in Mom's fleece coat.
Yep mom let the enemy sleep in her coat and get
his mancat odors all over it...

I hope and purr she washes it a gazillion times
so I don't have to smell it ever again.
Mom thinks Harley looks adorable.
FYI: for those seeing Harley for the first time...
he is a Cornish Rex kitty.

  1. We've never seen baled cotton, either. It's really kind of pretty.
Looks like the peeps had a great time, but now it's time to get back to reality. Yours, that is. MOL!
XOXO from your besties at Angel Prancer Pie.

  2. Coming home smelling of another cat! It's just not right.

They did have some interesting photos. Cotton is grown just to the west of us, and when SHE first saw it on the sides of the road...where it had blown off trucks on the way to the gin, SHE had to stop and make sure it wasn't snow.

I remember Harley, he would be a great cat for someone with cat hair allergies. and it looks like mom should have left her coat there for him.. i hope you are not pining away from jealousy, although i see you look super in your Council Woman persona...in charge of FLUFF.. can't wait to see what you come up with.. i have only see the cotton baled on blogs like this one..

  13. CONGRATULATIONS on your FANGtastic Appointment.
OMD that flock of birds is HUGE.... and they must have been trying to TELL your peeps to go to the PARROT on 11th.. fur their meal.
OMD Madi.... Harley Scent on your mom's jacket... that is SO Wrong... OH SO WRONG... So what you will need to do is YOU cuddle up with her... and counteract the scent with your OWN.
It looks like Frost or SNOW in that Cotton Field.
