Thursday 'Tater Tale

Monday afternoon I was taking my 87th cat nap of the day when
all of a sudden I hear a kerplunk on the table.

Mom was chattering away about what a find she had and how it was a happy accident yada yada yada!  So I decided to
pop up for a look-see, per chance it was FOR ME
OMCs it wasn't for me but it did smell most interesting
and well you know when the moms are excited it is contagious.
I'll let mom tell you about the Happy Accident....
Mom here:   Last week in the produce area of the  grocery store I 'meant' to buy a 3 lb bag of  fresh *new taters (*that is what we call red 'taters here in the South). Monday night as I was preparing to cook them, I noticed  I had something new. Steamables tripled washed and ready to cook in the bag in the microwave in 8 minutes.  I normally cook new 'taters in my pressure cooker.  However, as hot as it was I thought what the heck.  I was just a tad skeptical they would cook in 8 minutes because all of the taters were not the same size.  Color me surprised, when after 8 minutes, I took them out of the microwave let them sit for 1 minute, cut open the bag to find they were completely done.
AND DELICIOUS exactly enough for 2 piggies like
Madi's peeps.

Yep the bag was right up in the left hand corner is says
side delights!! I will be buying these jewels AGAIN!!

  11. i cook my 'new taters' in the microwave, i just buy the little bag dump in a plate, cover with paper towel and cook 8 minutes. i have not seen these here, what a happy accident. also if you take the little red or brown small taters, cut in half and lay them cut side down, and nuke they cook really fast depending on how many you use. i also bake sweet potato and the big irish tater wrapped in paper towel. poke a fork in the tater, wrap it and nuke it 8 or 9 minutes
