Windows Wednesday

Top of the morning friends!
Today is a busy day here at the homestead.  The peeps have been trying to get new windows installed for nearly a month but the rain
backed up the installers.  Finally it is our turn.
SO.....THIS IS GOOD AND BAD NEWS
THERE WILL BE MEN ALL OVER MY HOUSE in every room ALL THE WINDOWS WILL BE open (I hope no birds get in here) at one point.
IN 2006 WHEN THE KITCHEN WAS GUTTED, I STAYED WITH MY GRANDPEEPS and I got really spoiled.
My grandpeeps are gone now so Mom had to come up with a safe place for me......as they say DownUnder....
NO WORRIES
I HAVE A SAFE HOUSE.  I ACTUALLY LIKE IT...CAUSE IT IS kinda like a Box with lots of windows.  Are you ready to see where I will spend the day today?

TA DA........

MY K9 FRIENDS MIGHT RECOGNIZE THIS....CAUSE IT IS ACTUALLY A  DOG KENNEL FOR A HUGE DOG...
I HAVE HAD IT FOR A WHILE. EVERY SO OFTEN

MOM PUTS FOOD IN THERE I GO IN FREELY AND
I've even used the 'facilities'!! MOL MOL

And I sleep in there.

I guess you could say I've gotten used to it...and I
go and come.  Now for today I hope all
the banging and knocking and strange smells
don't bother me. Obviously the door will be closed and latched
and Mom has a bungee cord for extra security.  She is worried I might be able to slide the latch.
In my youth I opened doors. ::seriously::
ALL THE COMFORTS I NEED FOR ONE
DAY AND MOM WILL BE VISITING ME LOTS.
I heard rumblings there will be some painting going on next week.  I'll be here again.
It will be my home away from home!!
Mom hopes to carry on with my blog visits as normal but if we might be MIA.

  3. I think that is MUCH better than having to leave home, Madi! The last time we had workers in the house, my human put me on a leash and harness (since doors were open and there was a hole in the floor) so I could watch.

  6. Oh wow, that is a big box to be living in for a few days. I suggested it to Miss Oswin but she said she preferred my knitting box out of cardboard!

Hope the windows look really good when they are done with them.

  7. Don't worry Madi, we had our windows changed a couple of months ago and you would not believe the wonderful toys the windie men bring wiv them. My favourite was the open tube of superglue I ran off wiv , that got them all playing a great game of chase. (Mum is now finking a Madi safe home wiv facilities is a GREAT idea, hehe)

  10. We do hope all goes well today. We hate noisy loud strange people in our house.

  11. I am so glad your Mom is very thoughtful about your safety Madi. Cannot be too careful where strange men are concerned. They do not know to watch out for curious kitties. Off a wandering you could go. And we can't have that.

  12. I will alert the CIA and the FBI that there is a new Safe House in Town... it looks comfy to me... tell mom to ask the workers to do your room window First... and then she can let you out in that room only, while she is in there with you or lock the door so no one can open it. maybe do her bedroom first because you love her bed... hope all goes well.

  13. That looks like a great place to hang out Madi. Nice and comfy. And the main thing, is that you will be nice and safe with all those windows open. Hope it isn't too noisy. Have a great day.

  14. Looks like you will be safe and sound in your safe house Madi. Wouldn't it be fun if a birdie made its way into your home? You could help track it down and get it out of the house.

  15. that's a cool house while that window guys run through your castle... bet Bill Gates is there too, when they work with windows right? I hope efurrything is finished soon and you haven't the same window-guys like one of my neighbors. there the window guys came before the roof guys and because of the closed windows and doors and the rain, that neighbor got a super swimming pool :o)

  19. Oh Madi, that looks like a nice place for a nap and snack. In fact, you could nap and snack at the same time without having to walk across the house from the couch to the kitchen. Sounds pretty good to me!

  31. Madi that works! Especially since you are used to it. Your Mom is a smart woman. I am not crazy about having strange new workers in the house. Maybe CH should put me in one of those when they come this spring to redo a room!
