Mom is talking today

Earlier this year Madi was very honored to be invited to be a member of the Cat Scouts

Over the last 6 or 7 months every moment she pawticipates in Cat Scouts is beautiful.

Each and every cat scout is a beautiful friend.  They are helpful, always ready for a 

good time and never afraid of a grand adventure.

The most recent activity she will be pawticipating in is Flat Scout Travel Club.

Many of you know about flat pets traveling.  In fact, I think even Sugar was made flat recently.

Each scout pawticipating signed up to have their flat selves stuffed an envelope.  They  will travel to Flat Scout homes, have their photos made in and around the Scout home.  The photos will be posted on the Flat Scout Web page..  The scouts are supposed to keep a log of the number of places they travel  they will get a merit badges.   We also were told about a special deal at Walgreens.  We could print an 9x11 poster for 7.99.

Madi's biggest fan, her Dad, says we need to frame this!!

RODEO CLOWNS

F I N A L L Y 

RODEO DAY IS HERE

We are thrilled to be hosting the Rodeo Clown event!!

We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who is 

hosting an event and for all of you pawticipating.

Blogville is the best city in the world!!

Our esteemed Mayroz Stanley and Murphy stepped out into the 

ring to welcome all the Rodeo Clowns and share some Rodeo clown tips!!

OMDs what is up with the skirts and scarves.  

THE Mayorz say scarves dangling everywhere  are especially helpful because they fly about in the wind distracting the bullies and they plan to kick a few soccer balls too.

Run on little Doggies!!!

The one and only Blogville DJ, Sugar Billy,  aka Sweet William is spinning 

vinyl up in the grandstands all day.  He says all  tunes guaranteed to confuse and distract the bulls.  

Boy he did a great job putting on  his clown face

Look at Sensational Sammy, star of One spoiled cat,  giving Satan the bully a run for his money

Artistic Arty plans to stun the bullies with Crafty Moves

Jumpin' Jakey says never fear he will sweep the bullies off their hooves.

Acrobatic Austin, from Cat(achresis), my British feline buddy, was very excited to pawticipate in  his first, but not last, Rodeo.  He says if the bullies get out of control he'll hose'em down with a can/pint of beer!!

Nurse Addi  and Officer Oreo from Oreo's Cookie Jar

Says she is ready to 'bat' some sense into the bullies if they misbehave

Officer Oreo says the bullies will be 'rolling the dice' of bad
luck if they venture into his territory

Mr. Bailey, Hazel and Mabel  from
Idaho Pug Ranch have all been practicing their 
individual strategies to distract the bullies

Mr. Bailey's says if all else fails he'll tempt the bullies with a buttery Pillsbury biscuit.

Hazel says she is a lover not a fighter.  If the bullies
charge her, she'll throw an apple at them and run for the hills

Little Miss Mabel is still learning but is purrty sure she will
dazzle bullies with cuteness but if that fails she will hide in the barrel

Sarge aka Police Commish

Says there will be no horsing around on his watch.  

The bullies will be so shocked to see a horse in a Po-Po hat, they

won't even notice THE REAL LAW sitting on the ground

waiting to arrest them for stomping their feet and knocking  folks over

Bouncing Bertie and his All Stars aka Bill Blue and Brett Beret

Have a plan in place to distract the bullies.

Bertie says his famous WFT bounce and the balloons on his shirt will make the bullies

dizzy.  The Double B's will run in different directions confusing the bullies!

Princess Leah says the bullies better tuck their tails and hide.  Her boots are made for stomping bullies!!

Rowdy Ranger from The Adventures of Ranger

Says if the bullies get out of line he'll invite them for to (be his) supper!

Bodacious Baby from Four Paws Etc blog

says she has her eyes on the bullies.  If they know

what is good for them, they will run like sissies!!

JESSIE AND CASEY FROM THE LEGACY CHRONICLES

OMB(oxers) their Mom told me that Boxers are called the Clowns of the K9 world!!

These two are sure clowning it up today

Jessie says if the bullies try to get by her she'll hit them with her purse full of cement 

or blind them with her bling

Casey says if they get past Jessie he is ready to dazzle them with his baritone Boxer voice and his six string.

Snowball and KaTwo from 15 and meowing

Volunteered to be in charge of behind the scenes traffic control.

Snowball hopes the bullies will be smart enough to read his signs

KaTwo has his pirate spyglasses aimed at the bullies. If they try

to get passed Snowball, he'll piZap them with his electrifying purrsonality

Frankie and Ernie from Frankly Speaking

PHARTNER aka Frankie has a double whammie planned for the bullies 

First Phartner plans to sit very still..to make the bullies think he is a sleepin' on the job.

 As soon as they start to charge, he is gonna push button on his super duper
 monkey glasses which will throw banana peels at the bullies feet

If that doesn't work Phartner's  younger bro

BlubberBottom aka Ernie's plan is to dazzle the bullies with dozens of dots

Then he will push a magic daisy on his progressive lens parrot glasses 

releasing a flurry of feathers which will stick to the banana peels sending the bullies 

onto their tushies

Zany Ziggy, Chef in Training, might be a puppy but he has already figured out

how to keep the bullies in line!!

He plans to juggle some of his special foods  in the bullie faces to distract them from the cowboys and girls WTG 

Wesley from Poodle at Play says the bullies will think they are walking  in a 

 bootiful flower garden but it will really be a posey patch

of trick water squirting flowers and wild bird.

Millie and Walter from Bird Brains and Dog Tales

Millie plans to dazzle the bullies by teasing them with her dy-na-mite long red legs

then ka-pow she'll pack the last punch sending them....

over to Walter.  He will sweep their broken hearts into his tulip patch.

Ruby our official Barmaid says who cares about bullies THE BAR IS OPEN

Are standing by the gates letting the cowpokes know when it is time to straddle their bullies

for 7 seconds of fame

Last but not least we want to share the rendering mom sent to Sarge for his STAMPEDE Event.  Sarge told us we could make up our own brand or let him do it.

Oh my cats I met a new friend, Sally Ann ! Lo and behold Sally Ann is an Adorable

Here are a few of the books I recently checked out.  Even though Sally Ann is a K9 the Feline

section of her library is excellent. (left to right)

1. A Lion Called Christian: I can learn all about my distant cousins and my feline family tree.
2. French for Cats:  Before long I will be able to speak French
3. All I need to know I learned from my cat:  Finally mom will have to admit I'm SMARTER!!
4. The Little Big Book of Cats:  OMCs there is no telling what all is in this one!!

The Library opens your eyes to an entirely new world of wonders.

Tuesday Tale/Tail: Petunia

 While I take an inventory of things on the dresser, we'll tell you about Petunia.  Years ago mom worked with an older man

who called her Petunia.  When she asked him why he called her

Petunia, he said Petunia was easier to say than Cecilia. 

The odd thing was this man's name was Cruda...seriously!!

Recently mom was sitting on the couch by the back door.

She caught a glimpse of something at the door.When she

turned to look, lo and behold there was a BUNNY

at the back door standing on 'her' hind legs looking in the house

Oh how I wish I had seen it be alas I was napping upstairs.

Mom hopped (pun intended) up quickly to get the flashy beast.

When she returned look what she saw,

my new BBF(best bunny friend) 

snacking on purple Petunias.  Evidently they are a delicacy 

for bunnies.  We decided to name her Petunia

because we don't think Cecilia is a good name for a bunny.

Then later Dad said I spy Petunia lounging at the edge of the deck!!

Petunia (the smaller bunny) and either her Mom or older sibling.

Prior approval granted:  

Mom, Dad, Dad's bro aka Uncle G and his wife, Auntie K, are taking a sentimental journey today to visit, *Saxapahaw, the home town of Dad and Uncle G's mom.   She would have been 107 on July 5th.  It is about an hour away from us...mom promises to catch up when 

she returns.

Monday Mews: We missed everyone!!

Hidey Ho Friends...we hope you all

had a fabulous, safe and fun 4th of July weekend.  

My human sis and BIL were visiting all weekend.

A good time was had by all here. 

OMCs while they were here,

Sis got an up close and purrsonal picture and  funny video from Harley's most wonderful Cat Nanny, Ms. Ashley.  She is a vet tech at Harley's Vet office.  Ashley comes to Harley's house!!  She is especially fond of Harley.

    Harley had a fine weekend too.

In preparation for their visit, the sucky monster was running

rampant all over the house and upholstered . Mom nearly sucked

the life out of this couch then she covered it with a sheet

which I immediately christened with more furs.

Many years ago the neighbors who loved fireworks moved away. We were all very surprised to hear fireworks almost in our backyard Saturday. Everybuddy (except me) we out to take a look

Mom didn't remember that her camera had a night mode until it was over.  She get a few photos of the fireworks and the moon below

We think they were coming from the neighborhood next to us. 

They were very pretty and very organized.  The neighbors either hired a professional to handle the display or they all took turns because the fireworks went off one at a time time. Bravo to whomever organized the most fabulous display. I am not a fan of loud noises so mom was kinda worried I'd be hiding. However, when the came inside I was waiting for them on the steps!!
