Saturday Stuffs

It started raining here Sunday, 11/1/15....and it rained or was damp and cloudy until late *****Thursday afternoon.

This is my skylight

BUT 

My sunpuddle has been MIA. 

I am thankful there are no rain drops on my head but I miss my Sun.

 Mom says sometimes you have to make do!!  So we made some

SUN and I remembered my sunscreen!!  

This exact spot is where I like to sit in my sunpuddle.

Mr. Cardinal, my fine feathered friend, made some 

FUN 

later Mom was bored we watched  him from the kitchen window.

 Crazy bird taking a baff in the neighbor's muddy puddle when we have a purrfectly good bird bath with clean water in it just a few feets away!!! 

******These photos were taken earlier in the week when it was raining. AND might we add the weather geeks L I E D to us...they said we would have sun on
yesterday...we did for about 1/2 of a nanosecond!! Booooooooo weather geeks and it drizzled off and on, good thing mom knows how to make sun!

Friday Feline Ta(i)le

I thought I was safe from pictures...the flashy beast's battery was recharging..

but alas...the iPad was fully charged.

so I was doubly happy when I found

them both in the same spot as you can see

Note from TOGM (the old gray mare) the sun returned from hiding yesterday afternoon!! We missed it.  Rumor has it Sun will be here today too for a short visit.  More rain in the forecast!!

THURSDAY TALE: LANDSCAPING PART II

DON'T BE FOOLED FRIENDS IT IS NOT SPRING  AT MY HOUSE...

MOM SAID SHE NEEDED A HOSTESS FOR TODAY'S LANDSCAPING POST.

I INSISTED SHE ENHANCE MY PHOTO WITH FLOWERS TOO

COMPLETED FRONT RIGHT GREAT WALL AND PLANTINGS

OF COURSE NOTHING HAS BLOOMS 'CAUSE IT IS NOVEMBER SO

MOM ADDED THEM.  THE CREPE MYRTLES ARE CALLED CATAWBA

AND WILL HAVE FLOWERS ABOUT THIS SHADE OF PINK NEXT SUMMER

THE ITTY BITTY GREEN PLANTS ARE NEW AZALEAS.

87 MILLION DAFFODILS BULBS WERE PLANTED ALL AROUND

SO THEY WILL BE POPPING UP EVERYWHERE NEXT SPRING

 Someone forgot a real before photo here but alas that is what pizap if for...this was a very old bed of ivy...it was high maintenance.

In the spring and summer Dad had to trim it 87 zillion times to 

keep it from creeping up the house....

 All the ivy was removed.  Three box woods on each side

of a Sky Pencil Holly (in the center)

Big gigantic improvement

Two more (enhanced) Catawba Crepe Myrtles on the side of the house and more daffodil bulbs.

Left front cleared of lots of unwanted wild things

a new Forest Pansy Redbud  was planted.  

It is small but grows about a 1' a year.  Mom has a close up below

 In the spring the red bud will have purple flowers all over then it will have the beautiful heart shaped leaves.  

 This variety is said to have red heart leaves in early May then gradually turning to green hearts in the summer. Mom is excited to see if the hearts will be red.

Tuesday Tale: Behind the closed door

Would you just look at this mess!!! I'm a shamed to tell you but my crazy pants nephew Frisco has been sewing some wild teenage oats.

A few weeks ago my sis came home at lunch to hear frantic meowing but could not find Frisco.

She followed the meows to the guest bathroom.

Lo and behold he decided to roll the

guest bathroom with toilet paper......

BUT 

while doing so...the door closed..

Sis sent mom this photo (w/o me in it). She said,

"Frisco shut himself in the 'loo' this morning

this is what I found at lunch"!!

No photos of Frisco in here 'cause when Sis opened the door he darted out of there like his tushie was on fire.

The next day he went on a safari but the bug outsmarted him it got on the ceiling.

Frisco is such a BOY!! But he continues to make his peeps laugh every day.
